Amazing Red debuts new gimmick in TNA

– A brand new character debuted last night at the TNA tapings in Orlando. A masked wrestler by the name of Sangriento who is being billed from Tijuana. He defeated Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal in a three way match taped for Xplosion. The man under the mask is actually Amazing Red. No word yet if Red will continue to work as himself or not. is reporting that the gimmick was actually the idea of Spike TV. They told TV to introduce a masked character that would counter act Sin Cara who recently debuted in WWE. TNA looked at various indy wrestlers to put under the mask but eventually decided on Red who is already on the roster.

if you people really knew what you were talking about, you’d know that was amazing red’s fuego guerrero garb. fuego guerrero is a masked gimmick he did back in 2001-2003 on the indy scene. im betting a new costume is coming but you gotta go with what you have now in terms of gear. anyway, i really hope to see this succeed because red is an extremely talented wrestler.

MUCH better than the red mohawk! BIG improvement! They should change that costume though; it looks like his regular gear.

And for the record, I was with the network for offering finacial support to TNA so that they could tour, but I can’t back this meddlesome manuever. Telling TNA to publicly counteract WWE’s debut of Sin Cara by putting a mask on one their performers hanging in the closet, and then turning them loose again makes TNA look like even more BOOT LEGGED than they already did with all the rebirths of Suicide, and all the other accounted for b.s. that happens on their program. I mean, it’s not like word wasn’t going to get out that RED was under the mask. You can almost tell it’s him by looking at his physique and costume for crying out loud! If you want TNA to debut a new star, at least give them time to find one first! As for TNA–don’t just throw a mask on somebody that you haven’t been using, and that we’ve already seen before.

Damn–TNA and the WWE make my head hurt sometimes (not literally, thank goodness).
