TNA branding update; Mickie James injury update

- Due to injury, Mickie James was not able to work her match at Sunday’s Lockdown PPV (thus the reason it only went about a minute long). It is believed James is a few weeks away from returning to real in ring action, and isn’t expected to wrestle at this week’s Impact tapings in Orlando.

- Look for Impact to be pushed more than the TNA brand name. They will be conducting a branding campaign, and are still debating on whether to drop the TNA name or not, reports Dave Meltzer.

Was not able to work her match…And still won the belt, for some strange reason.

  2. Ian says:

It was built up for her to finally win the title…it was part of the storyline and with them taping several episodes at once they can do other things with the angle and her as champion without having her wrestle this week and come back as champion at their next set of tapings and be ready for the next PPV to defend the title…maybe they do a contenders tournament or match in the meantime.

When has TNA ever bothered to make sense?

  4. xyu says:

Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, then again, I never got her appeal.

i agree with Bey74 100% what a pathetic way to win a title totally not fair to madison who actually deserves the title what a disappointment

  6. Adam says:

Mickey has talent for sure but that is no way to “win” a title. One more result of the Bischoff/Hogan machine. It was Madison’s time, however they ruined her cred by haing her job to an injured star. This coulda been better served by a Tara-like trip up or blind shot, etc.
