Donald Trump’s charity contributions from 2007 were recently revealed showing what he got paid for being involved with WWE that year including Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit. According to The Smoking Gun, Trump was paid an estimated $4 million for taking part in the show, which he then donated to the Donald J. Trump Foundation. This is believed to be the single biggest event payoff in the history of pro wrestling. Mike Tyson was estimated as receiving between $3-3.5 million for his role at Wrestlemania 14. It remains unknown what Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson received this year.

It is interesting to note that The Smoking Gun also revealed that from 1990 to 2009 in the years the Donald J. Trump Foundation was created, the most Trump himself had donated over that period before his Wrestlemania 23 appearance was $3.7 million. So WWE’s donation ended up being slightly higher in addition to the other $1 million he received for his role back in 2009 when they ran the storyline that he had “purchased” Raw from Vince McMahon.
