Bret Hart says Wrestlemania 27 was “anti-climactic”

Bret Hart did an interview with The Sun in the UK, and wasn’t impressed with this year’s Wrestlemania. “I was a little disappointed with WrestleMania to be honest. I felt it was anti-climactic,” said Hart. “I guess I just expected a little bit more.”

Also from the interview:

“When the show was over, The Miz was more of an afterthought. He didn’t mean anything and his stock didn’t go up by winning the main event. I almost forgot all about him.”

“My biggest disappointment was that two of the best wrestlers in the company, Bryan and Sheamus, didn’t get a chance to show what they can do on a WrestleMania.

“I thought Lawler v Cole was built up really well, with most fans wanting to get their hands round Cole’s neck by the time WrestleMania came.

“But I don’t know why they went so long. It’s not a match that needs to go very long. Michael Cole clearly can’t actually do anything. That’s the part I don’t get. It should have been about four or five minutes long max.

“Sadly going so long, meant they really took all the light away from the other wrestlers that earned it through the year.”
