Nice tournament, except I expected Team 3D to go further!

  2. Josh Roffman says:

Overall, very well done and what a tourney!!!

  3. Denis says:

Personally, the finals should have been between the Road Warriors and Brody/Hansen, or maybe the Steiners. And no way the Rockers would have beaten Flair and Valentine. Still, a good tournament. Was interesting to see how many fans don’t know their wrestling history.

  4. Alex says:

I was rooting for the Road Warriors this whole time. THEY ARE THE BEST TAG-TEAM EVER.

  5. drxfeelgood says:

    @Denis
What??? Why would this thing be based on wrestling history? If it was, why would there even be polling? Its not a matter of who knows their wrestling history but who is perceived as the “best” by the fans. Otherwise Edge and Christian might not have made it to the finals (although I voted for them), as you implied. The idea has been said a million times before—how’s that for wrestling history?

  6. Ian says:

Edge/Christian should not have made the finals…great tag team but against the best ever…no way…definitely the cinderella story of the tournament…but I agree with Denis…if more people knew the history of these teams things would have ended up way differently…it seemed that there were a lot of younger fans or people who dont know about some of these teams voting.

  7. Rory says:

I know it was going to come down between Edge and Christian and The Road Worrier and that The Road Worriers were going to win. I was just surprised to see the Steiners and the Hart Foundation in the final four instead of the Outsiders and the Hardyz.

  8. John says:

I liked the idea, but as I said earlier, if the Road Warriors didn’t win, then it doesn’t matter because hands down, they are the greatest team in wrestling history.

  9. Ian says:

@Rory…how was that surprising…it was more surprising to see Edge/Christian that far…Steiners and Hart Foundation are by far better teams than Outsiders or Hardyz ever were…the Outsiders shouldn’t ahve beat Gordy and Williams…like it has been stated it shows a lack of knowledge because if people who voted really knew about Williams and Gordy and how much of a dominant team they were all over the world there is no way the Outsiders would have beat them…E/C should not have beat the Bulldogs or Brain Busters.

  10. Adam says:

The Road Warriors certainly deserve to go as far as they did but I’m not so sure about Edge & Christian. Maybe if the matches had ladders or tables in them. Both the Steiners and the Brain Busters had more success in a variety of promotions. Weren’t the Steiners one of a few teams to go over the Road Warriors clean when they were still in their prime, Starrcade 89 Iron Man Competiton? Back in their prime, the Steiners not only would have the power advantage over Edge & Christian but they could match overall technical ability and athleticism.

  11. Adam says:

Yeah the Bulldogs were another team that Edge & Christian maybe shouldn’t have beat. They were awesome in Japan and in the WWE! When the changed promotions in Japan from New Japan to All Japan, it was a big deal like when WWE guys went to WCW in the 90s. I do like Edge & Christian in comparison to Team 3D and the Hardys for their era, but the Bulldogs, Brain Busters and Steiners were probably all around better tag teams.

  12. marco says:

hart foundation way better team then edge and christian

  13. Fahim Abrar says:

I agree with the point some of these people are making…some of the fans who participated in the poll did not have enough knowledge about some of the teams. Majority of the IWC is made up of a young fan base, so, that doesn’t help does it?

  14. Steve says:

The right team won even if they didn’t face the right team. It should have been Steiners, Bulldogs or Hart Foundation. Even Team 3D I could see. Still it’s great the Road Warriors won. It was awesome to be at the HOF live to see them get inducted. As Hawk would say…what a rush!

  15. Riten says:

Wow, Team 3D Vs LOD. That’s A Dream Match.
