Staff and contributors share their Wrestlemania predictions

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio

Jamie Cruickshank: I really can’t call this one, whichever way it goes, Christian will play a part in the finish. I can’t see him directly interfering on behalf of Del Rio, but I also don’t see it going in the favor of Edge (even if that’s the intention). Because I think Miz will beat Cena, and I don’t think WWE will want two main event heel wins, I’ll go for Edge
Cody Tougas: Del Rio. Edge doesn’t need to win and this would be huge for Del Rio, Edge might win to please the fans but I see a Christian heel turn.
Chris Johnson: Del Rio.
Brian Jason: Del Rio is being push like very few have before him. And I have to be honest he is growing on me. But Edge will walk out champion. Del Rio is not ready to carry the strap yet. Of course that does not matter anymore. Wrestling has changed. Winner-Edge Losers-Wrestlers being pushed way to fast, set up for failure

The Miz vs. John Cena

Jamie Cruickshank: This may be wishful thinking on my part, but I can’t fathom any scenario where a Cena win makes sense in this match. Miz needs a credible victory over a top star, and this seems like the perfect time to do it
Cody Tougas: Miz. A win does nothing for Cena, Miz needs/should win and hopefully he does.
Chris Johnson: Cena.
Brian Jaso: Cena has created alot of buzz with this match. Too bad it’s not with the champion. It’s with the People’s Champion The Rock. I think the Miz drops the title. But I think at the end of the night it will be The Rock who will leave Champion. Rock did an interview this week and said he would consider wrestling again. I am not sure how they will get him in this match, but I think he will walk out champion. Winner-The Rock Losers-All the new talent

Triple H vs. The Undertaker

Jamie Cruickshank: Do I even need to comment on this one?
Cody Tougas: Win means nothing for either of them, the Streak should continue and hopefully does.
Chris Johnson: Taker.
Brian Jaso: I want the Deadman to win, but I think HHH breaks the streak. HHH is trying to create a legacy greater than everyone. This would cement that. The streak should remain in tact. The killed Goldberg’s undefeated streak only because they could. It was such a draw that they had no idea they were killing their cash cow. Taker’s streak is the same, but much bigger. It should go to 20-0 and be retired. But in the end HHH has to big of an ego, he wants to end the streak.
Winner-HHH Losers-Everyone else

Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole

Jamie Cruickshank: Much as I love the Cole character, the presence of Austin in the match is pretty much a guarantee for a face win here
Cody Tougas: Lawler
Chris Johnson: Lawler
Brian Jaso: Lawler wins obviously. I will be interested to see what they do to Cole after his gay slur on Twitter. I think they will kill him at Wrestlemania. Lawler and Austin drink beer.
Winner-Jerry Lawler More Winners-All of us if this is the beginning of the end for Cole

Randy Orton vs CM Punk

Jamie Cruickshank: Orton has destroyed The Nexus in the past few weeks, so unless WWE wants to crush the group completely, nothing but a Punk win makes sense here, even if it is a cheap one
Cody Tougas: Orton
Brian Jaso: Punk. This could be a night stealing match. With HBK gone, someone has to steal the show. Punk is that man. I think Punk wins to keep this feud alive. Let’s hope I’m right.
Chris Johnson: Punk

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

Jamie Cruickshank: Another tricky one to call. Unfortunately, I’ve been rather neglecting Smackdown in recent weeks, so I’m not entirely sure how this one has progressed. My gut says a Cody win pushes him up the card, so I’ll go with that, but I don’t think it will be clean
Cody Tougas: Rhodes. Like Miz-Cena, a win does nothing for Rey and hopefully WWE does the right thing by having Rhodes win and not pleasing all of the kids in attendance.
Chris Johnson: Mysterio
Brian Jason: Mysterio. I see Rey winning with ease here. Kind of a dud match for Rey. I hope they find something new for him after this.

Snooki, Trish Stratus & John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool

Jamie Cruickshank: I can’t recall a celebrity losing a match at Mania, so I would assume that pattern will continue
Cody Tougas: Trish, Snooki and Morrison
Chris Johnson: Trish’s team
Brian Jaso: John Morrison, Snooki, Trish Stratus. I really hope they get rid of this match. Morrison is so much better than this match. I see John and his team coming out on top. God help us all that Snooki is a Wrestlemania.

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

Jamie Cruickshank: Another tricky one to call, because it’s difficult to see what the loser will do in the coming weeks/months. I’m going to go for Bryan on the basis that I can see Sheamus forcing his way back into the main event somehow, whereas if Bryan lost, I think he’d be lost in the midcard
Cody Tougas: Sheamus
Chris Johnson: Sheamus
Brian Jaso: Sheamus. This could be ok if they let it. But in the end I think Sheamus wins it with his big boot.

The Corre vs. Kane, The Big Show, Santino Marella, & Vladimir Kozlov

Brain Jaso: I see the babyfaces going over in this match. Santino is just to over with the crowd. They love him. 8-10 minutes.
Jamie Cruickshank: I think we’re going to see a turn in this match, though I couldn’t say who it’s going to be. Whoever it is, they’ll cost their team the match, giving the win to The Corre. Note that I haven’t really been keeping up with this storyline either, so I could be way off on this one!
Chris Johnson: Corre
Cody Tougas: Corre. They need the win more, but I see this as a crowd pleaser with the faces winning.
