– The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) defeat The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart) to win the WWF Tag Team Titles
– Jake Roberts defeats Rick Martel in a Blindfold Match
– The Undertaker makes his first Wrestlemania appearance, defeating Jimmy Snuka
– The Ultimate Warrior defeats Randy Savage, forcing Savage to retire from pro wrestling
– The Big Boss Man defeats Mr Perfect by DQ (Perfect retains the WWF Intercontinental Title)
– Virgil defeats Ted DiBiase by countout
– Hulk Hogan defeats Sgt Slaughter to win the WWF Title

In 1996, WCW Uncensored was held in Tupelo, Mississippi

– Konnan defeats Eddy Guerrero to retain the WCW United States Title
– The Booty Man defeats Diamond Dallas Page, forcing Page to leave WCW
– Sting & Booker T defeat The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) in a Chicago Street Fight
– Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage defeat The Alliance To End Hulkamania (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Meng, The Barbarian, Lex Luger, Kevin Sullivan, Z-Gangsta and The Ultimate Solution) in a Tower of Doom Cage Match

Title Changes

1994 – Rick Rude defeats Hiroshi Hase to win the WCW International World Title

2002 – Cho-Ten (Masahiro Chono & Hiroyoshi Tenzan) defeat Manabu Nakanishi & Yuji Nagata in the final of a tournament to win the vacant IWGP Tag Team Titles

2003 – on Raw, Chief Morley awards the vacant World Tag Team Titles to himself and Lance Storm

In Memoriam

Today in 1997, the wrestling world lost former AWA World Champion and WWWF United States Tag Team Champion Dr Bill Miller at the age of 69. After retiring from the ring, Miller opened a veterinary practice in Ohio. He died of a heart attack on his way out of the gym after a workout
