Dory Funk on Ted DiBiase

Mar 7, 2011 - by Steve Gerweck

Big influences on Ted’s career in wrestling were his father, Iron Mike Dibiase, who was my Father’s best friend and his mother, Helen Hild. Both were great wrestlers and loved the business. Iron Mike passed away in the ring in Lubbock, Texas.

After Mike Dibiase’s passing, Ted came to me and said, “Professional Wrestling was good enough for my father so it is going to be good enough for me.

Terry and I trained Ted Dibiase and helped him developed the image and style he is known for as well as his career in Japan.

He is one of the wrestling business’s greatest talent and both Terry and myself have been privileged to know him.
