Overrun featuring The Rock does a strong rating

While the rating for last night’s 2/14 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw may have been a disappointment coming in at a 3.1 overall rating, the segment featuring the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson drew a very strong number. The overrun, which went 23 minutes long, drew an estimated 5.7 million viewers. The show drew an average of 4.8 million viewers.

I rather watch The Rock for the whole 2 hrs than watching a typical crappy pg wwe program…

  2. Masked Marauder says:

Santino’s Casa featuring The Rock should headline Wrestlemania.

  3. Matt says:

The Rock is easily one of the best on the mic ever. To me, The Rock, Stone Cold, and Road Dogg are the best on the mic. The Rock and Stone Cold for obvious reasons, and Road Dogg got a HUGE reaction when his music hit. He got more pop as a low to mid carder than most main-eventers today. He is one of those guys that you just miss from the Attitude Era.

  4. Jim says:

What made the Attitude Era great is that they allowed talent to find ways to connect with the fans. Your Road Dogg example is good, but think of other mid card acts that were hugely over. Godfather, Val Venis, 2 Cool, etc.

Too much is left in the hands of the writers now and not enough in the hands of the talent.

true they dont get a chance to inject their own personality in to the show, the Miz is a good example of this, i feel that he is holding back in his promos, that he wants to say more but can’t

What happened to the CMPunk promo? he was talking about how boring WWE was becoming? Then HHH introduced Kevin Nash and CMPunk disappeared and into idiocy WWE went. WTH? I was geeked thinking Punk was gonna put some ummpf into this crappy program. I guess not. WWe always buries the better wrestlers. Punk, Drew McIntyre, Shelton Benjamin, MVP. smh
