~ Following Jon Jones’ win over the previously undefeated Ryan Bader at Saturday’s UFC 126 event in Las Vegas, UFC broadcaster Joe Rogan announced that Jones will get the next shot at Mauricio “Shogun” Rua’s (19-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) 205-pound title. Jones fills in for his teammate, Rashad Evans, who recently suffered a knee injury in training and was forced to withdraw from the planned UFC 128 matchup. Jones, who was as surprised as everyone in the Mandalay Bay Events Center crowd, dropped to his knees in elation at the announcement. “I feel great,” Jones (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) said. “I’ve got it so great. I’m going for a world title, baby. Let’s do it.”
~ A heavyweight bout between former champ Frank Mir (14-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) and fellow contender Roy Nelson (15-5 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is set for the main card of UFC 130: Edgar vs. Maynard 3 on May 28. UFC 130 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Awesome Rashad loses his title shot.
Jones doesnt deserve the shot….seriously. Way more people should be in front of him, but I guess if your team mate gets injured you get the title shot?
Lmao I would love to hear who is more deserving than Jones.
