More rumored WWE hall of fame possibilities

Regarding the Hall of Fame at Wrestlemania 27, we’ve heard a lot of talk
in recent days from inside the company that Abdullah the Butcher and
Bullet Bob Armstrong are both under consideration for induction in
Atlanta. Abdullah, who recently turned 70, resides in the Atlanta area
where he owns a restaurant called “Abdullah the Butcher’s House of
Ribs.” He was a star in various territories throughout the 1960s, 1970s,
and 1980s winning titles all over the world. He won his first major
title teaming with Dr. Jerry Graham in Vancouver in 1967. Incidentally,
Graham was Vince McMahon’s favorite wrestler from childhood. ‘Abby’ has
never technically worked for WWE but his ultra-violent style served as
inspiration for other wrestlers, including Mark Lewin, Kevin Sullivan,
Cactus Jack, Kamala, and Sabu, among others; and he still continues to
work on the independent circuit in a career that has spanned seven
decades… Bullet Bob, 71, is the patriarch of the Armstrong wrestling
family; he has four sons (Scott, Brad, Steve and Brian), all of whom
became wrestlers. He had his greatest success in Southeast territories
during the 1970s and 1980s, particularly in Alabama and his home state
of Georgia. In recent years he’s appeared on camera with son Brian in
TNA.

  1. Why doesn’t Yokozuna even get mentioned as a candidate? Ugh pisses me off.

  2. Tim says:

Come on guys. Induct the Road Warriors.

  3. Korey Parker says:

    come on……….. RED ROOSTER!

  4. Elvis Steverson says:

    come on.. DENNIS STAMP!!

  5. Steven says:

WWE Hall of Fame is the biggest joke ever. Yeah lets induct Abby and Bullet Bob because there wrestlers who fans really want to see inducted. No-one wants to see Rick Rude, The Road Warriors, Owen Hart, Yokozuna, The Fabulous Freebirds or Harlem Heat inducted. No the fans want wrestlers who never worked for WWE inducted. Who will be inducted in the 2012 Hall of Fame, Buff Bagwell? Justin Credible? David Arquette?

  6. Jose says:

it’s WWE’s way of diluting the history of pro wrestling, inducting guys who never stepped foot in a WWF/E ring, then claiming them as one of their own, as if they had a hand in creating the guy and making him a hall of famer. if they do induct Abby, they can’t even show half the clips of his matches because they were all bloodbaths.

  7. Gaul says:

It may be the WWE Hall of Fame but they still represent wrestlers from other companies such as the NWA, WCW, WCCW, AWA, ECW because they own those brands and video libraries. Not to mention it’s another payday for the boys, one which I am sure Abby would not say no to.

  8. me says:

yokozuna is already in the hall of fame.

  9. John says:

How can they not induct the Road Warriors? They are by far one of the greatest tag teams in the history of wrestling. It’s like not having KISS in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Just plain stupid!

  10. Larry Bigby says:

Hey Dennis Stamp never knows when he could get the call…remember he did say that in Beyond The Mat. He is still jumping on his trampeline stealing Vader’s WWF vignette gimmick waiting for a call.

  11. Larry Bigby says:

Since they want to go with a wcw/nwa feeling so they claim how about THE MULKEYS.

  12. $hep says:

I say induct Barry O and Barry Horowitz….lol

  13. jd says:

yokozuna, the road warrios, owen heart, jimmy neid heart, chyna, sable, benoit they wouldn’t cause what he did but still a very good wrestler and he deserves it, pahl bearer
