Report: Possible “transition period” in WWE now

Reported by Adam Martin of

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was said to be more talk this week about Triple H taking more control at upcoming WWE TV tapings under his new role as a “Senior Advisor” under Vince McMahon. The belief is that he will get a much better feel this year of how things will operate when he is more in charge.

It should be noted that Stephanie McMahon isn’t traveling nearly as much as she used to spending more time raising her three children. While she remains on call, she isn’t in the office as much, isn’t traveling to TV as much and the belief is that it could be inevitable that Triple H could be the one running the company instead of her if and when Vince decides to step away with full power.

While that doesn’t seem like anything that would happen anytime soon, many are treating Triple H’s new role as a “transition period” within the company. Many sources have described the TV taping environments as being much more pleasant with Triple H running the show with little last minute changes to booking. It should also be noted that during this transition period, Michael Hayes and Brian Gewirtz seem to have more power with Stephanie not being involved as much as she was in the past.

For better or worse, Trips being in charge may save WWE from being the Walmart of wrestling.

This seems to be a little dangerous to be honest

Does this mean he won’t be wrestling anymore

I do believe I have seen Vinnie Mac wrestling on one or the other… or other.. or one of the many other occasions.

yes, he will still wrestle, just on a lighter schedule, small feud here or there, but also bring up people who deserve a push

This Is An Awesome Idea.. Think Triple H A Man That Helped Make One Of The Greatest Tag Team/Stable Running This PG Wrestling Company. I Believe Will Be Risky But In The End Be A Huge Turn Around..

Thank god! Time for some new blood behind the scenes. I’ve been wanting something like this to happen for a WHILE. Vince and Steph just don’t seem to care as much anymore, and I’m judging by the quality of the product these past few (or more) years. Smackdown’s been good RECENTLY, but these past two… three years have FELT half-assed. While I’m tired of seeing Triple H in the main, he’ll bring a TON of experience to the job. He can right the ship from behind, and still remain an on-air personality to keep his loyalists happy.
