Indiana man suing WWE, The Rock and Triple H

Reported by Adam Martin of Wrestleview.com

According to an article by The Courier-Journal in Louisville, an Indiana man has filed a lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment, former WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Paul “Triple H” Levesque claiming he suffered serious injuries after attending a WWF “Judgment Day” PPV event back in May of 2000. The man, who was seven years old at the time, claims he was injured when one of the wrestlers collided with an audience member, who then shoved another woman causing her to fall on the man. It is added that the lawsuit, “accuses the WWE of failing to properly stage the match and provide adequate security for its customers. Both Johnson and Levesque are accused of ‘reckless, willful and wanton conduct.'”

Don’t you only have a certain timeframe in which to file a lawsuit?

I’m pretty sure after 10 plus years, no judge is going to willfully touch this case.

Really, nearly ELEVEN years later and NOW a lawsuit is being filed???

I understand the kid was only seven at the time, but why didn’t his parents do anything if it was that serious? This screams trying to make a quick buck to me. “Hey, we need money… remember that wrestling event a decade ago where some lady fell on me? Let’s sue WWE!”

Read the article, it says the ‘man’ was 7 yrs old at the time of the incident, i.e. he was a minor and so until he reaches the age of majority, the timeframe you mention does not kick in, and he can still sue.
Doubt if he will get anywhere with the lawsuit though, its one of the more ridiculous cases against the WWE…

I remember being in the third row at RAW in 05 watching HBK and Edge in a streetfight. HBK got really bloddy, and I swear I had a small spot of blood on me tooth that night. Maybe I should sue HBK and Edge!
