Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s latest movie, Faster, was anything fast at the box office as the R-rated flick pulled in some disappointing box office numbers for CBS Films. Since opening on Thanksgiving Eve, Faster did a total of $12.2 million in box office revenue and got edged out by three other new releases on the same day – Tangled, Burlesque and Love And Other Drugs. It had a wide release of 2,454 theaters and it was The Rock’s first movie back in an action role in quite a few years. Critics on movie website
RottenTomatoes.com gave it a 43% saying, “It’s good to see Dwayne Johnson back in full-throttle action mode, but Faster doesn’t deliver enough of the high-octane thrills promised by its title.” In audience poll, 66% of those who saw it liked the movie.
