– Michael Cole welcomes us to the 24th annual Survivor Series! Cole is joined by Jerry Lawler & Matt Striker on commentary.

(1) United States Championship – Daniel Bryan vs. Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse
Brilliant fast-paced match to start us off, Bryan seemingly injures his shoulder after flying through the ropes onto DiBiase, DiBiase hits a huge Clothesline on Bryan but only gets a two count, DiBiase goes for Dream Street but Bryan escapes it. Bryan hits a HUGE suplex from the top rope, Bryan gets n a two count. Bryan locks in the LeBell Lock, DiBiase taps out, Bryan is still your United States Champion!

– After the match, The Miz hits Daniel Bryan in the back of the head with the MITB briefcase, he makes is way to the ring and runs down Miami, he threatens cashing in Money in the Bank as he is getting tired of carrying the briefcase around with him.

    One of the best opening matches I’ve seen on a WWE PPV in a long time.

    Damn it! Really was pulling for Ted. He deserves a singles title.

    I agree with Rollins… It was the best match to open with, and it made both men look really good… Haven’t been too impressed with Dibiase but this match definitely changed my opinion… Look forward to seeing where this goes.
