A physical WWE hall of fame?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has sent out feelers to potential cities for bids on building a physical building for the company’s hall of fame. The idea is that a city would put up the funding to build the hall of fame and maintain it, with WWE looking for a licensing fee and a split, rather than the company putting up the funding for the project.

So they want to build a museum/auditoriium for their HOF, but they don’t want to pay for it?

LOL. Yeah, they’re going to find a city that would put up the funding themselves to build a WWE Hall of Fame and maintain it. Good luck with that, Vince.

Actually it wouldn’t be that hard to do. A place like that (if in the right place) could bring in a TON of money for the city. If the city owns the building they get the profits and as it says split them with WWE but it would still bring in a ton of money if done right and if in the right place. Sounds feasible to me.

Sounds a lot like a NFL or MLB owner to me !

Remember the failure known as WWF New York? That place existed at the height of WWE’s popularity and still couldn’t bring in enough money to justify the costs. So somehow I doubt a physical WWE Hall of Fame could bring in a “TON of money” for the city responsible for building and maintaining it.
