Video: Vince McMahon addresses the WWE Universe

Vince McMahon filmed a message to WWE fans regarding the recent negative and inaccurate attacks on the company that the Senate race involving his wife Linda McMahon and Richard Blumenthal has brought with it. “So we’re reaching out to you, the WWE universe, to provide the real facts about WWE,” says the WWE CEO and Chairman. McMahon encouraged the fans to respond to these attacks in a new campaign titled Stand Up for WWE. McMahon says they will be posting videos on to set the record straight and told fans
to upload their own videos and messages on the company’s Facebook page as well as Twitter and YouTube to fight the biased, inaccurate media reports. “Let’s show the world the power of World Wrestling Entertainment. Let’s stand up for WWE. Thank you.”

Wow. Yes, some of the talking heads on the news channels have said some not so nice things about the wrestling business and it’s fans in general. For that, I definitely think a message needs to be sent. However, I have no intention on “standing up” for Linda McMahon and the way she and Vince have run their company. To classify their talent as “independent contractors” to save money on paying benefits is just wrong. Especially when these men and women risk life and limb for us every night.

What kind of attacks could they be making about WWE?? That they’re a company who has in the past been a show to market near naked women wrestling in any liquid they thought to put them in (mud, chocalate, egg nog, gravy), or wrestling in matches to see who could tear the others clothes off first…or that Vince McMahon has been in several story lines involving him cheating on his wife…or that Vince McMahon is founder and president of the “Kiss my Ass” club…or that on a regular wrestlers often used profanity to get their points across. Well none that is true!! And how dare they make up such lies lol.

Btw….the points I made above is what made me fall in love with WWE in the first place…now its nothin but a bore-fest.

Agreed. To pretend that WWE didn’t switch to a "G" rating because of Linda’s run is ludicrous. What really sends it over the top is the aversion to blood. We go from Austin having barrels of blood dumped on him in the middle of the ring to having to stop a match because of a scratch. But according to them, it’s because the fans want that "G" rating!

  5. Kevin says:

    Make that "PG"…my bad

  6. Stephen says:

Real facts?? Like the fact the changed the programming just to help their political cause or the fact that they can no longer put on an interesting product.

  7. J says:

Yeah Vince, I should upload a video on how your wife ruined your programming. Thanks for alientating your fans so you can do a PG rating. No wonder Batista wanted out of your company.

  8. John says:

Hopefully she loses and things can go back to normal. I miss hearing Jerry Lawler say "Puppies!".
