WWE Notes: Smackdown, UK Tour, possible new diva
Sep 26, 2010 - by Steve Gerweck
- The final Smackdown on MyNetworkTV aired yesterday as next Friday the show
will be airing live for the first time on SyFy, another channel owned by NBC
Universal which WWE has an agreement with. SyFy will be the fourth home of
Smackdown ever since the show started in 1999. It first made its debut on
UPN and then moved to The CW Network in 2006 when UPN and WB merged. In
October 2008 the show moved to the low-rated MyNetworkTV in a surprise move
which only lasted two years. The first show on SyFy will be the company’s
580th for Smackdown.
– From Steve: Melyssa Buhl has been saying on ModelMayhem.com that she is
meeting Tom Cusati and John Laurinaitis on October 14th at WWE HQ. Her page
now says that she isn’t taking any bookings after that date which suggests she is
going to sign a contract if she hasn’t already.
– From kermando13: For the upcoming UK tour, they are advertising for Raw 8/11
(11/8) Sheamus vs Randy Orton vs John Cena for WWE Championship no indication
as to who champion will be. Also, advertising Undertaker vs Kane for World Heavyweight
Championship in a steel cage for Smackdown Taping 9/11 (11/9).
