Smackdown
We start the show with some In Ring Action….
Non-Title Match
World Heavyweight Champion Kane v. Chris Masters
I really would have guessed Masters was released by now. But in reality he is holding his own for about 5 minutes. Not to high flying of a match, but not really slow. Kane is methodic with his way of beating down men. I really would have written him off 2 or 3 years ago. Kane hits the chokeslam, followed by the cut throat sign mocking the Undertaker. He then hits the Tombstone for the win.
Winner-World Heavyweight Champion Kane
After the match Kane gets on the mic to address the Undertaker. Kane says he took everything Taker had to give, and survived. He says he can smell the fear in the crowd. He walks in the crowd and lets them know how much they fear him. He then says that later tonight he has a challenge for the Undertaker.
Legendary is out on DVD this Tuesday, only at Wal-Mart. Wow that went to DVD faster than any movie ever, ever.
WWE Tag Team Title Match
WWE Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes v. The Hart Dynasty
The Hart’s are invoking their rematch clause here on Smackdown. About a 10 minute match. Ending with Drew taking on the turnbuckle and running Tyson into it, followed by his double armed DDT for the win.
Winner-WWE Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes
Backstage we see Alberto Del Rio standing over a wounded Christian. Christian is writhing in pain, and Del Rio can only smile. Christian looks to be out for awhile.
More action backstage. CM Punk is kicking Luke Gallows out of SES. Gallows grabs Punk and throws him against a wall. He tells him to walk a mile in his shoes. Looks like the SES is done for. Too bad, I really liked that faction.
In Ring Action….
Chavo Guerrero v. Kaval
If they let these two really work this match we could be in for a treat. Kaval is amazing, and Chavo is just Chavo. These two are giving the fans some real wrestling. But the crowd does not know how to react. About a 7 minute match with Chavo hitting the Frog Splash for the win. Surprise winner to me. Kaval is still paying his dues I guess.
Winner-Chavo Guerrero
In Ring Action….
Alberto Del Rio makes his way to the ring to talk about Rey Mysterio. Alberto says that all of his opponents end up in the hospital, just like Rey. Hit Christian’s music! He attacks Del Rio, but his personal ring announcer grabs Christian. Del Rio locks on the ARM BAR!!!! Christian is in bad shape.
In Ring Action…
Handicap Match
The Big Show v. Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer. This is about a 2 minute match with Show winning via submission. Crowd Pleaser of a match.
Winner-The Big Show
In Ring Action….
CM Punk v. Luke Gallows
Gallows wants Punk bad. He is all over him early. Wanting payback for looking like Punk’s dog for weeks. Punk plays heel very good. Gallows begins to lose momentum when Punk brings out the veteran edge. Gallows finally gets caught in the GTS and has no answer.
Winner-CM Punk
Again more In Ring Action….
Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler v. MVP
Finally a Smackdown without Kofi v Dolph. MVP is not quite the athlete as Kofi, but is working him good. After about 10 minutes Dolph rolls out of the ring, grabs his belt and walks up the ramp being counted out.
Winner-via countout MVP
Backstage we see the movers who have been working all night to get Smackdown ready to move to SyFy next week. In a funny spot Vicki Guerrero climbs in the moving truck getting the door closed behind her. Looks like Vicki is heading to SyFy.
In the Ring we have World Heavyweight Champion Kane. He challenges The Undertaker to a match at Hell in a Cell. The entire time Kane is talking there is ominous music playing behind him. Kind of cheesy. Hit Taker’s music. Out come the Druids carrying a casket to the ring. In the Casket is Paul Bearer. The lights go out and when they come back on Kane is surrounded by Paul Bearer with the urn and Undertaker to his back. Taker attacks Kane. But before he can do too much damage, Kane rolls out of the ring. Looks like Taker has the Power again.
