Estimate of buys for ROH Glory by Honor IX iPPV

According to Bryan Alvarez in the latest Figure Four Weekly Newsletter, Saturday’s Ring of Honor “Glory by Honor IX” internet PPV event on Gofightlive.tv did approximately 1,300 orders. This figure would be up slightly from the “Death Before Dishonor VIII” event on June 19th that did a little under that. The online event before that drew around 900 buys. When contacted about the validity of that figure, Ring of Honor had no comment.

I’m not too familiar with the current ROH product but I know they’ve been around just about or as long as TNA. Doesn’t Mark Cuban own HDnet? It would be nice to see him invest some of those millions into ROH. If HDnet could become a viable outlet for the company then maybe they could get a little more exposure. I just don’t see the point in doing these internet pay per views if 1300 buys is all you can produce. I wish ROH all the best in the future. I know its hard to reach a mainstream audience with an ever changing roster of talent and without any recognizable names. Hopefully the company can turn things around. We desperately need another company to truly go national.
