~ “The Ultimate Fighter 11″ veteran Kyacey Uscola (19-16) defeated former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion Doug Marshall (12-4) in a middleweight fight in the main event of Tachi Palace Fights 6: High Stakes on Thursday. Uscola advanced to the back, sunk in his hooks and unleashed of barrage of powerful ground-and-pound punches that left Marshall unconscious on the floor late in the first round.
~ UFC light heavyweight veteran Mike Nickels (8-4) lost to 35 year old Dwayne Lewis (12-5) via TKO (Punches) just 90 seconds into their fight on Thursday. The bout was held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Nickels, 38,Ãƒâ€š appeared on the 3rd season of the Ultimate Fighter.
~ UFC welterweight veteran Drew “The Master” Fickett (40-13) submitted three opponents in the single-night Shine Fights: Lightweight Grand Prix to win the tournament late on Friday. In the final against WEC veteran Carlo Prater, he took his opponent’s back and forced Prater (25-9-1) to tap out from a rear-naked choke at the 2:02 mark of the first round. The event was held at the First Council Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma.
~ Pete “Secret Weapon” Spratt, a member of the 4th season of The Ultimate Fighter, lost his catchweight fight against Eric Davila on Saturday via submission (Guillotine) at 3:49 of the second round. The bout, held in North Texas, was changed to a catchweight bout after Davila weighed in at 176.5. He was not docked any percentage of his fight purse. Spratt’s record falls to 21-18.
~ UFC welterweight Ricardo Almeida walked away unscathed from an ugly car crash in New Jersey on Thursday. “CachorrÃƒÆ’£o” was driving alone on his way to the airport when he rear-ended a FedEx delivery truck on the New Jersey Turnpike, totaling his Land Cruiser
