8/4/1969—Fritz von Erich defeats Johnny Valentine, to win the WCWA World Heavyweight Championship.

8/4/1977—Dick Murdoch defeats Bill Watts, to win the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship (Tri-States Version).

8/4/1979—Leroy Brown and Allen Coage defeat Hector and Mando Guerrero, to win the NWA Americas Tag Team Championship.

8/4/1984—three weeks after “Black Saturday,” NWA Wrestling returns to WTBS, with an early-morning time slot.

8/4/1997—on the 100th episode of WCW “Monday Nitro,” Lex Luger defeats Hollywood Hogan, to become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. On “Raw Is War,” Sgt. Slaughter returns to WWF Television, as commisioner.

8/4/2006—Jeff Hardy re-signs with WWE, after being released three years earlier.

8/4/2008—Batista and John Cena become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions, defeating Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr.
