8/3/1934—Haystacks Calhoun born in Arkansas.

8/3/1956—Pepper Gomez defeats Buddy Rogers, to win the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship.

8/3/1996—Chris Jericho loses his final match in ECW, to 2 Cold Scorpio. Jericho would end up in WCW later on in the month. Also, Mustapha Seed and New Jack become the new ECW World Tag Team Champions, defeating Kronus and Saturn.

8/3/1997—highlights from 1997 “Summerslam”
-Mankind defeats Hunter Hearst Helmsley (steel cage match).
-British Bulldog defeats Ken Shamrock by DQ (British Bulldog retains European Championship).
-Steve Austin defeats Owen Hart, to win the Intercontinental Championship.
-Bret Hart defeats Undertaker, to win the WWF Championship.

8/3/1998—Monday Night War Ratings….WCW “Nitro” scores a 4.2 TV Rating, while WWF “Raw Is War” scores a 4.9 TV rating.

8/3/2007—Wrestler Delirious is announced as the new head trainer of the Ring of Honor Wrestling School.

8/3/2009—Jeremy Piven and Dr. Ken Jeong guest host “Monday Night Raw.”
