WWE Survivor Series PPV Results – 11/22/09

– The WWE promo hits.

– A video package runs highlighting the history of the Survivor Series. We then see a focus on the triple threat for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Team Miz vs. Team Morrison, Team Orton vs. Team Kingston, Batista vs. Rey Mysterio and the triple threat for the WWE Championship.

– A graphic opening hits welcoming us to WWE Survivor Series. We go live to Washington, D.C. where a huge display of pyro goes off. Michael Cole is the first to welcome us to the show and welcomes us to the second longest running PPV in WWE history and the 23rd annual Survivor Series.

– Team Miz vs. Team Morrison kicks off the show first.

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Morrison (WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Finlay & Shelton Benjamin) vs. Team Miz (WWE U.S. Champion The Miz, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler)

We start with Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne. They mix it up and Matt Hardy and Dolph Ziggler get the tag. Hardy takes down Ziggler with a Side Effect and tags in Bourne who hits a Shooting Star Press. Bourne pins Ziggler to eliminate him. Drew McIntyre takes out Bourne and eliminates him. Finlay gets the tag and goes after McIntyre. They mix it up in the corner and Sheamus gets the tag. Sheamus takes out Finlay with a big boot, covers and gets the pinfall eliminating Finlay. Hardy is in and catches Sheamus with an elbow. Miz gets the tag and starts working over Hardy with some strikes and gets him down in a camel clutch. Morrison and Swagger get the tag. Morrison hits the Starship Pain on Swagger in the corner and gets the pinfall to eliminate him. It is now 3 on 3. Miz gets the tag and hits a big sledgehammer on Morrison. Benjamin tags himself in and gets a close roll up on Miz. Benjamin with a big flying springboard forearm from the corner and a Stinger Splash in the corner on Miz. Referee Scott Armstrong took a knee to the back of the head during a Sheamus interference and is out with a concussion at ringside. The Miz eliminates Shelton Benjamin after a facebuster. Hardy and McIntyre in the ring now. Hardy drops McIntyre face first into the corner and follows up with a neckbreaker. Hardy drops a leg and hits a second neckbreaker on McIntyre. Sheamus gets involved and Hardy misses a moonsault on McIntyre. McIntyre hits his double arm DDT on Hardy and gets the pinfall to eliminate Matt Hardy. It is now 3 on 1 with Morrison by himself up against Miz, McIntyre and Sheamus. McIntyre gets in some big offense first and then tags in Sheamus. Sheamus drives Morrison with force into the corner allowing Miz and McIntyre to get in some cheap shots. Sheamus with the Razor’s Edge on Morrison and gets the pinfall to eliminate John Morrison. Your final three are WWE U.S. Champion The Miz, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.

Winners: Team Miz (WWE U.S. Champion The Miz, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler)

After the match, The Miz, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre celebrate. We then see highlights of all the eliminations in the match leading to the final one with Sheamus pinning John Morrison.

– Backstage, we see Team Kingston discussing tonight’s match against Team Orton. Christian said he needs to bring up something obvious about this team tonight. They all say he doesn’t need to say it. Christian said he does…he is the only one…who is from ECW. Crowd laughs. He then does a wrap to R-Truth saying, “Four of us are black, I’m the only one who is white, WHAT’S UP!” They all stay quiet. Christian said he will work on it.

– A video package runs highlighting the events between Batista and Rey Mysterio.

Batista vs. Rey Mysterio

The match starts with Mysterio hitting some quick leg kicks to Batista. Mysterio dropkicks Batista in the knees and Batista falls against the ropes. Mysterio goes for an early 619 and Batista rolls out quickly. Back in the ring, Batista levels Mysterio with a huge clothesline. Mysterio with lots of counters on Batista and a chop block. Mysterio follows that up with a dropkick to the face. Batista blocks a 619 attempt, pulls Mysterio back in the ring, hits a kick to the gut, attempts a powerbomb and Mysterio gives him a huracanrana sending Batista outside through the ropes. Mysterio with a baseball slide on Batista. Mysterio attempts a frog splash from up top, but Batista got his knees up. Batista with a huge spear on Mysterio. Batista follows that up with a big spinebuster. Batista picks up a lifeless Mysterio and gives him a Batista Bomb. Batista with a second Batista Bomb on Mysterio. Batista picks up Mysterio and hits a third Batista Bomb. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Batista

After the match, WWE officials hit the ring to check on Rey Mysterio. Batista leaves the ring and grabs a steel chair. He returns and everyone clears out of the ring. Batista sets up the chair and sits down on it. Batista looks down at Mysterio, stands up, puts the chair back down on the mat, picks up a lifeless Mysterio, puts him on his shoulder and gives Mysterio a spinebuster over the steel chair. Batista leaves the ring and heads to the back as WWE officials surround Mysterio. A neckbrace is put on Mysterio and they put him on a stretcher.

– Backstage, Randy Orton is speaking with Team Orton. He said he expected to be standing next to the ECW Champion when looking at William Regal, he said he expected to be standing next to two people he thought would be the future of WWE when looking at Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase and then stares down CM Punk hoping to be looking at a Straight Edge World Champion. Punk said he didn’t think he would be looking at a guy who got embarassed by Kofi Kingston in Madison Square Garden. Orton said regardless he expects everyone to do their job tonight.

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Orton (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, William Regal & CM Punk) vs. Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, ECW Champion Christian, MVP, Mark Henry & R-Truth)

We start with Randy Orton and Mark Henry. Henry gets in a quick shot on Orton in the corner and takes out a few members of Team Orton. Orton with a quick RKO on Henry and Mark Henry is eliminated. Team Orton then regroup on the outside and Orton returns to the ring with MVP. DiBiase, Regal and Punk all take turns going after MVP in the ring. MVP with an overhead suplex on Punk and tags in R-Truth. Truth with a big hip toss on Punk. Punk with a GTS on Truth after interference from Rhodes. R-Truth is eliminated. Christian gets the tag and gets a quick roll up on Punk. Punk plants Christian with a scoop slam in the corner and tags on DiBiase who jumps down over the chest of Christian. DiBiase with a catapult on Christian who lands in the corner. Christian fights back with a springboard sunset flip and pinfall on DiBiase. Ted DiBiase is eliminated. Regal gets the tag and Christian takes him out with a quick dropkick and tags in Kofi Kingston. Kingston with some kicks to Regal in the corner. Rhodes gets the tag and he hits some big stomps over Kingston. Regal gets the tag back and hits some uppercuts on Kingston. Rhodes gets the tag and MVP tags himself in hitting a big crossbody off the top rope on Regal to get the pinfall. William Regal is eliminated. Tag to Christian who works over Rhodes in the corner. Rhodes catches Christian with a big clothesline.

Orton tags himself in and levels Christian with a big standing dropkick. Orton with a big boot on Christian. Tag to Rhodes who stomps over Christian. MVP gets the tag and takes out Rhodes with a few clotheslines and elbows. MVP drops Rhodes with a knee to the face and hits the ballin’ elbow. Rhodes catches MVP with a swinging neckbreaker after some interference and gets the pinfall. MVP is eliminated. Kingston gets the tag and gets a close roll up on Rhodes. Christian gets the tag and works over Rhodes’ left arm. Kingston gets back the tag and does the same. Tag back to Christian and Rhodes gets in a few shots in the corner. Christian with a Killswitch on Rhodes. Cody Rhodes is eliminated. It is now 2 on 2 with Kingston and Christian vs. Orton and Punk. Christian with a Killswitch on Orton and Punk breaks up the pinfall. Orton with an RKO on Christian. Christian is eliminated. Kingston is now by himself against Orton and Punk. Orton tags in Punk. Punk and Kingston have a stare down. Both start exchanging shots. Kingston gets the better of it with elbows. Punk dodges Trouble in Paradise. Kingston with a huge dropkick on Punk and hits a trip into a pinfall for a close two count. Kingston misses a splash in the corner. Punk with high knees to Kingston and a kick to the back. Orton is watching from the outside clapping and cheering Punk on.

Kingston catches Punk with a big boot in the corner. Punk responds with a big snap powerslam. Punk gets his knees up when Kingston attempts a splash. Punk plants Kingston with a suplex into a pinfall for a close two count. Punk with a knee to the face on Kingston in the corner. Kingston counters a running bulldog into a back suplex. Kingston with a HUGE crossbody off the top on Punk and Punk kicks out. Kingston takes out Punk with a suplex, Orton jumps up on the ring apron distracting Kingston, Punk attempts a roll up and Kingston counters that into a pinfall of his own. CM Punk is eliminated. Orton rolls in right away and Kingston catches him with Trouble in Paradise. Kingston pins Orton. Randy Orton is eliminated.

Winners: Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, ECW Champion Christian, MVP, Mark Henry & R-Truth)

After the match, we see a replay of the finish of Kingston pinning CM Punk and Randy Orton in a short amount of time.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Triple Threat
The Undertaker (c) vs. WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho vs. WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show

Tony Chimel did ring introductions for the challengers Chris Jericho and Big Show and champion The Undertaker.

The bell rings and here we go. Big Show and Chris Jericho team up to take out Taker and back him into the corner. Taker runs to the other corner and fights back with a few shots and elbows to Jericho and Big Show. They continue with some big offense in the corner with Big Show hitting right hands to the body and Jericho hitting kicks. Jericho clotheslines Taker over the top rope to the outside. Taker then pulls Jericho out of the ring and throws him into the guard railing. Big Show walks up and Taker gets in a right hand. Taker misses a running big boot on Jericho and crashes into the timekeepers area. Jericho holds up Taker allowing Big Show to get in another stiff body shot. They toss Taker back in the ring and Big Show stands over his chest. Taker fights back with a flying clothesline on Big Show. Big Show pulls Taker out of the ring and Taker sends him face first into the steel ring post. Jericho attempts a springboard dropkick to Taker, Taker dodges it and works over Jericho’s left arm. Jericho with a superplex on Taker off the top rope. Jericho gets the Walls of Jericho locked on. Big Show rolls in and decks Jericho. Taker counters a chokeslam into a DDT. Jericho attempts pinfalls on both and both kick out. Jericho grabs the World Title and hits Big Show with it. Taker then levels Jericho with a big boot. Taker gets Jericho up for a Last Ride, but Jericho grabs the World Title and decks Taker with it. Jericho covers Taker and Taker kicks out after two. Taker attempts a Tombstone on Jericho and Big Show hits the knock out punch. Jericho and Big Show argue. Big Show decks Jericho with the knock out punch. Undertaker gets the Hell’s Gate on Big Show and Big Show taps out.

Winner & STILL WWE World Heavyweight Champion: The Undertaker

– Backstage, Josh Mathews is with WWE U.S. Champion The Miz, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. Miz said they are setting the bar for top young talent in WWE. McIntyre put over how he was hand picked by Vince McMahon. Sheamus said the competition in WWE right now is almost too easy for him.

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Mickie (Mickie James, WWE Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres) vs. Team Michelle (WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Alicia Fox & Layla)

We start with Kelly Kelly and Layla. Layla with a big kick to the head on Kelly. Kelly with a kick to the back of the head on Layla and gets the pinfall. Layla is eliminated. Gail Kim and Michelle McCool are now in. McCool gets the Styles Clash on Kim for the pinfall. Gail Kim is eliminated. Eve Torres is now in and Jillian Hall is tagged in. Jillian drops an elbow over Eve. Jillian takes boots to the back during her cartwheel flip spot, Eve gets a roll up and Jillian is pinned. Jillian Hall is eliminated. Beth Phoenix is in and drops Eve on her face to get the pinfall. Eve Torres is eliminated. Kelly Kelly is in and she takes a facebuster from Phoenix as well. Kelly Kelly is eliminated. Mickie James is in, dropkicks Phoenix in the knee and gets in a few right hands. Mickie with a crucifix pin on Phoenix for the pinfall. Beth Phoenix is eliminated. Phoenix gets in a cheap shot on Mickie after she was eliminated. Alicia Fox gets the tag and works on Mickie in the corner. Mickie with a guillotine choke on Fox who counters sending Mickie into the corner. Alicia Fox is eliminated by Mickie. Tag to Melina. Melina with a sunset flip pin on McCool and gets the pinfall. Melina and Mickie James are your survivors.

Winners: Team Mickie (Mickie James, WWE Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres)

After the match, we see a replay of the finish with WWE Divas Champion Melina getting the pinfall on WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool.

– Backstage, Todd Grisham was with Batista moments ago. Batista cut off Grisham saying Mysterio was embarassed tonight and he was embarassed for him.

WWE Championship – Triple Threat
John Cena (c) vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

Justin Roberts did ring introductions for the challengers Triple H and Shawn Michaels and the champion John Cena.

The bell rings and Shawn Michaels takes out Triple H with Sweet Chin Music. John Cena has a shocked look on his face. The fans in D.C. cheer loudly. HBK goes after Cena and hits a few chest chops. Cena hits the ropes and HBK tackles Cena hitting some rights. HBK with more chops to Cena backing him into the corner. Cena with a running bulldog on HBK and follows with a big suplex. Cena sends HBK into both corners with force. Cena has HBK on his shoulders, but HBK counters an Attitude Adjustment into a DDT. HBK with a chop block on Cena. A second chop block by HBK on Cena. HBK with a figure four on Cena. Cena rolls over and gets out of the figure four. HBK with chops, Cena with right hands, fans cheer on HBK and fans boo Cena. Cena with a flying shoulder block on HBK, hits the ropes again and misses a second attempt. HBK left the ring and cleared off the announce table. Back in the ring, Cena attempted an Attitude Adjustment, but Triple H is back and broke it up. HBK tossed Cena into the timekeepers area and then took a spinebuster from Triple H who sent HBK into the announcers table. Back in the ring, Cena and Triple H started exchanging shots. Cena with the five knuckle shuffle on Triple H. Cena gets Triple H up on his shoulders, HBK is back in and tosses Cena shoulder first into the corner. Triple H and HBK have a stare down. Cena charges, Triple H pushes HBK away and sends Cena through the ropes. HBK hits chops on Triple H, an atomic drop, more chops and Triple H catches HBK with a high knee. Cena is back in and gets an STF applied on Triple H. HBK is in and applies a Crossface on Cena. Cena counters out and gets an STF applied on HBK. HBK reaches out and gets the bottom rope to break it up. HBK catches Cena with Sweet Chin Music. HBK catches Triple H with Sweet Chin Music. Triple H falls on Cena. The referee has to count. 1…2…Cena gets a shoulder up just barely. Cena with the Attitude Adjustment on Triple H. Both Cena and HBK cover Triple H and Triple H kicks out of each. Cena blocks a Sweet Chin Music attempt from HBK. HBK with Sweet Chin Music on Triple H. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment on HBK over Triple H. Cena pins Triple H and gets the pinfall.
