– The WWE promo hits.

– A graphic opening hits promoting the matches scheduled for tonight when we see DX interrupt and start doing shadow puppets over the screen. They pause on the graphic for Legacy and say they remember them from the WWE Kiss Cam. DX then walks out and they break the intro video. They start to argue, but HBK says he doesn’t want to fight. He brings up he was a TV repair man before his gig as a chef. A DX theme then plays over the screen for SummerSlam when it ends a second time. Triple H said he thought HBK could fix that. HBK said it only lasted for two weeks. Triple H said the important thing is they got the message. HBK said that message is, “We’re back!”

– A new graphic opening hits welcoming us to SummerSlam. We go live to Los Angeles where a series of pyro goes off inside the Staples Center. Jim Ross welcomes everyone to the 22nd annual SummerSlam in front of a sold out crowd of 17,000+.

– WWE Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio is out first to kick off the show.

Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

As Dolph Ziggler entered the ring (who came out last), Rey Mysterio was holding up the WWE Intercontinental Championship and staring at him.

The bell rings and here we go. Ziggler steps in and works over Mysterio in the corner right away. Mysterio turns it around pushing Ziggler into the corner. Ziggler with a big snap powerslam that results in a two count. Ziggler with a roll up and Mysterio kicks out after two. Ziggler with big rights and kicks sending Mysterio down into the corner. Mysterio with a big moonsault off the top turnbuckle after he was lifted up in the air by Ziggler. That was a very impressive spot that resulted in a two count after a pinfall attempt. Mysterio sends Ziggler to the outside and then leaps off the ring apron taking him out. Mysterio tosses Ziggler back in the ring. Ziggler fights back as both fight to the top turnbuckle. Mysterio knocks Ziggler off, jumps, but Ziggler catches him and powerbombs Mysterio back into the corner. Ziggler with the cover and a two count. Ziggler works over Mysterio on the mat and goes for another pinfall that results in a two count. Ziggler with a big headlock applied on Mysterio. Ziggler with a big side slam on Mysterio, hook of the leg and Mysterio kicks out after two. Ziggler with a jumping elbow over Mysterio, another cover and Mysterio again kicks out after a two count.

Ziggler goes back to the headlock and then applies a body scissors on Mysterio. Mysterio fights back with elbows to the face of Ziggler. Ziggler comes in with some knees to the body. Mysterio with a drop toe hold on Ziggler into the corner. Ziggler then explodes out of the corner with a huge clothesline on Mysterio. Ziggler puts Mysterio up on his shoulders and then drops Mysterio down over his knee with a big gutbuster. Ziggler with the cover and Mysterio finds a way to kick out after two. Ziggler drops back down and applies the headlock on Mysterio. Todd Grisham noted on commentary that Mysterio loves his fans so much that he actually tattooed a poem on his body recently. Ziggler with a big irish whip on Mysterio to the corner. Mysterio dodges a body splash attempt from Ziggler and hits a sit down senton off the top rope. Mysterio then catches Ziggler with a big kick to the head, covers and Ziggler kicks out after two. Ziggler with a huge dropkick on Mysterio as Mysterio springboarded off the ropes. Ziggler counters a sunset flip attempt by Mysterio into a pinfall of his own that results in a close two count. Ziggler comes back with a big clothesline on Mysterio, covers and Mysterio gets a shoulder up after two.

Ziggler sends Mysterio into the corner, Mysterio flips back over Ziggler, kicks Ziggler in the head, Ziggler falls into the ropes, 619 attempt, Ziggler moves and Ziggler sweeps Mysterio taking him out. Ziggler hits a modified Fameasser on Mysterio, hooks the leg and Mysterio kicks out. Ziggler is frustrated and can’t believe it. Mysterio catches Ziggler with big boots and gets him down in a sunset flip resulting in a close two count. Mysterio with a DDT on Ziggler, cover and Ziggler gets a shoulder up after two. Mysterio dropkicks Ziggler into the ropes, hits the 619, goes up top and misses the body splash. Ziggler hooks the leg of Mysterio and gets a close two count. Ziggler screams out in frustration. Ziggler goes after Mysterio in the corner with big right hands. Mysterio catches Ziggler with a shot. Ziggler then dropkicks Mysterio quickly. Ziggler brings Mysterio up top with him putting him on his shoulders, Mysterio counters and hits a huracanrana. Mysterio covers Ziggler and gets the win.

Winner & STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: Rey Mysterio

After the match, Rey Mysterio celebrates his win and is handed the WWE Intercontinental Championship. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, we see Mysterio at the top of the ramp staring down Ziggler with the Intercontinental Title over his shoulder.

– Backstage, Josh Mathews is with Jack Swagger and MVP. Mathews said some are calling their match tonight a “culture clash.” Swagger said he is a 2-time All-American and a future WWE Champion, while his opponent is an ex-con who uses flash and hype to match is physical shortcomings. He said MVP might have some talent, but he is nothing but a stepping stone for him. MVP said he wishes he was spoiled while growing up like Swagger and admits to making bad decisions. He said tonight is the spoiled jock vs. the hard ex-con trying to make up for lost time.

MVP vs. Jack Swagger

Swagger goes for a big right and MVP blocks it. Swagger attempts a takedown that MVP counters into a pinfall that Swagger breaks up quickly. MVP levels Swagger with a big clothesline and side slam on Swagger. MVP hits the ropes and Swagger rolls out of the ring. MVP then jumps over the top rope and takes out Swagger. MVP rolls Swagger back in, hooks the leg and Swagger kicks out after two. MVP gets Swagger in a front choke sitting up on the top rope, but Swagger pulls him off the top and MVP lands right on the back of his head coming down. Swagger picks up MVP and throws him into the corner. Swagger sends MVP into the ropes and hits a few forearm shots to the lower back. MVP catches Swagger with an elbow, but Swagger comes back getting an abdominal stretch applied. Swagger hits MVP in the ribs as he keeps the abdominal stretch locked in. MVP attempts a counter, but Swagger levels him with a big clothesline. Cover by Swagger and MVP kicks out. Another cover and MVP again kicks out. Swagger gets a headlock applied, but MVP counters putting him on his shoulders and hitting an Electric Chair. MVP with a cover and Swagger kicks out after two. MVP with right hands to Swagger with a big right slap dropping Swagger. MVP hits the ropes and drops his Ballin’ elbow, hooks the leg and Swagger kicks out after two. Swagger counters a Playmaker attempt into a roll up from the corner that results in a two count. Swagger springboards off the second rope against the corner, attempts a body splash, but MVP gets his knees up. MVP catches Swagger with a big kick to the face, hits the Playmaker and gets the pinfall.

Winner: MVP

After the match, MVP stares down at Jack Swagger and then heads up the ramp. We then see highlights of the end of the match leading to the finish. Back live, MVP is smiling at Swagger who is just recovering in the ring.

– Luke Perry is shown in the crowd tonight.

– A video package runs highlighting the “special guest host” feature on WWE Monday Night Raw. The last highlight focuses on this past week’s show with Freddie Prinze Jr. as the host.

– Back live, Nancy O’Dell of “Access Hollywood” is introduced. Nancy talks about WWE helping her with her battle against ALS. She pulls Freddie Prinze Jr. from the audience and said he wants to see Cena take Orton out tonight. This gets loud boo’s from the crowd.

WWE Unified Tag Team Championships
Chris Jericho & Big Show (c’s) vs. Cryme Tyme

Jericho and Big Show have some new music (and that was badly needed). Before the match, Jericho gets on the mic and said there are lots of celebrities in the audience tonight. He said that doesn’t impress him since celebrities are hypocrites and parasites just like everyone in the audience tonight. Jericho talks about having a giant that is better than everyone else.

We start with JTG and Chris Jericho. Jericho levels JTG with a quick shoulder block, hits the ropes, JTG jumps over and catches Jericho with a big flying elbow. JTG with a blockbuster on Jericho, cover and Jericho kicks out after two. Jericho with big rights to JTG in the corner. Jericho attempts a Walls of Jericho on JTG. JTG prevents it so Jericho gives him a catapult into the corner. JTG jumps up on the top turnbuckle, turns around and takes out Jericho with a big clothesline. Jericho holds onto the bottom rope, gets up and catches JTG with a big right hand that drops JTG. Tag to Big Show who stands on the leg/foot of JTG. Big Show with a big headbutt to JTG who falls into the corner. Big Show with a big chest chop on JTG. Big Show applies a standing headlock on JTG and Jericho is heard screaming, “Squeeze his head right off!” Big Show with another big slap to the chest of JTG. JTG catches Big Show with some boots in the corner and tags in Shad. Shad with some rights to Big Show, attempts a body splash, but Big Show stays up and Big Show takes out Shad with a big spear. Tag to Jericho as Big Show holds Shad back. Jericho gets in a few shots on Shad. Jericho kicks Shad in the head a little bit on the mat.

Shad then catches Jericho with a big boot. Jericho recovers and sends Shad into the corner allowing Big Show to get the tag. Big Show grabs Shad and applies a full nelson. Jericho is cheering on Big Show from the corner. Shad looks to break it up when Big Show slams him down hard on the mat. Tag back to Jericho who misses an elbow drop on Shad. Jericho drops an axe handle over the back of Shad and applies a headlock. Shad gets to his feet, hits a few shots on Jericho and then powerslams Jericho with force off his shoulder when Jericho hit the ropes and flipped back up attempting a counter. Hot tag to JTG who takes out Jericho. JTG with a facebuster on Jericho from the corner. JTG drops Big Show’s head off the top rope, takes out Jericho, covers and Big Show breaks up the pinfall. Shad clotheslines Big Show over the top rope. JTG with a roll up on Jericho that results in a close two count. Jericho gets JTG down and looks to apply the Walls of Jericho. Jericho turns JTG over and gets it applied. JTG reaches out and is able to get close to the bottom rope when Big Show catches him with a big knockout right hand. Jericho covers JTG and gets the pinfall.

– A promo for WWE Breaking Point on September 13.

– Backstage, Josh Mathews is with CM Punk. Punk said he was able to find a screenplay about Jeff Hardy which finishes with Hardy winning tonight’s TLC match. He said that screenplay isn’t reality and is fake and phony…just like the people in Los Angeles. Punk said Hollywood is the problem and they don’t make movies about guys like him because he doesn’t support this kind of society. He said tonight he is going to rewrite the ending of the Jeff Hardy story and it will have a happy ending…new World Heavyweight Champion…C…M…Punk.

Kane vs. The Great Khali

The bell rings and Khali is moving forward at Kane. Khali pushes Kane into the corner and hits a few right hands and kicks. The referee makes Khali move back. Kane catches Khali with a big uppercut and hits a few right hands. Kane attempts an irish whip, but Khali counters and sends Kane over the top rope. Kane rolls back in and Khali clotheslines him right away. Khali misses a leg drop and Kane dropkicks Khali in the face. Kane with a cover and Khali kicks out after two. Kane drops some elbows over the chest of Khali, backs up and hits a big third elbow. Kane signals the end with the chokeslam. Khali grabs Kane’s arm and pushes it away and starts choking Kane. Khali then catches Kane with a big clothesline and drops an elbow over Kane. Kane kicks out after two. Khali mounts Kane and drops a few right hands. Khali covers and Kane kicks out quickly after one. Khali sends Kane face first into the corner and then clotheslines Kane into the corner. Khali with a big chest chop over Kane. JR added, “That would restart a dead heart!” Kane goes up top and catches Khali with a flying clothesline, hooks the leg and Khali kicks out after two. Kane then grabs Khali and applies a reverse chinlock as Khali tries to fight out of it. Kane drops down still applying the chinlock and wrapping his legs around Khali in a body scissors. Kane yells at the referee to ask Khali if he quits. Khali starts fighting back to his feet and catches Kane with a big elbow and boot on Kane. Khali chops Kane over the head, covers and Kane gets a shoulder up just after two. Khali then applies the Vice Grip over the head of Kane. Kane falls into the ropes and the referee makes Khali break it up. Kane then reaches out and brings in Ranjin Singh. Kane threatens to take him out and then throws him out of the ring. This allows Kane to dropkick Khali in the knees and hit a big DDT on Khali. Kane covers Khali and gets the pinfall.

Winner: Kane

After the match, Kane rolls out of the ring and smiles at The Great Khali as he heads up the ramp.

– Celebrities Maria Menounos, Slash and Robert Patrick are shown in the crowd.

– A video package airs highlighting the return of DX leading into tonight’s tag match between DX and The Legacy (Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes).

D-Generation X (Triple H & Shawn Michaels) vs. The Legacy (Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes)

DX had a huge entrance complete with tons of pyro, an army that came out and shot off guns and then DX appeared in the entrance area coming out on a tank. They did the usual “ARE YOU READY” intro before the match as well. Crowd in L.A. is really into DX tonight. Triple H added to Legacy, “If you girls want a war, you got a war.”

The bell rings and we start with Triple H and Ted DiBiase. Lock up and Triple H pushes Ted into the corner. Ted turns it around pushing Triple H into the corner. Triple H with a big right hand on Ted that drops him right away. Ted with right hands to Ted in the corner. Triple H turns that around gets in some right hands of his own. Triple H with a clothesline on Ted. Triple H with a suplex on Ted and drops a knee over his head. Cover and Ted kicks out after two. Triple H kicks Ted in the face, Ted comes back and drops his knee off the face of Triple H. Tag to Cody Rhodes who comes in, dodges Triple H and slaps HBK in the face who is still on the corner. Tag to Shawn Michaels who is still staring down Cody. Lock up and HBK gets a headlock applied. HBK hits a shoulder block on Cody. Cody gets HBK down on the mat and then connects with a few right hands. HBK mounts Cody and gets in a series of right and left hands. Cody dodges a Sweet Chin Music attempt by rolling out, but Triple H tosses him back inside. Cody dodges another Sweet Chin Music attempt and rolls out on the other side. Ted drops down as well and the fans boo. Cody rolls back in and HBK hits a drop toe hold. HBK gets a headlock applied on Cody who counters out hitting a back suplex on HBK.

Tag to DiBiase who gets thrown into the corner face first by HBK. Big chest chops by HBK on Ted in the corner. Tag back to Cody who drops a knee over the head of HBK. Quick tag back to Ted takes out HBK, hooks the leg and HBK kicks out after two. Ted gets a headlock applied on HBK. HBK fights out and hits a quick chest chop on Ted followed by a swinging neckbreaker. Tag to Triple H who hits Ted with some big rights. Cody catches Triple H with a shot to the back as he hit the ropes. Triple H then tosses Cody inside the ring, but this allows Ted to trip up Triple H and catapult him into the corner. Triple H comes back taking out Ted and then gives both Ted and Cody a pair of spinebusters. Triple H then launches HBK over the top rope over Legacy who were trying to recover on the outside. Legacy fights back with quick tags between the two working over Triple H in their respective corner. Ted is the legal man and drops a forearm over the chest of Triple H, covers and Triple H gets a shoulder up after two. Ted has Triple H down in a headlock. Triple H fights to his feet and reaches out for a tag to HBK. Ted gets the headlock applied more and drops down preventing the tag. Ted continues to wrench back on the headlock on Triple H with lots of force.

Triple H then breaks it up hitting a big back suplex on Ted. Cody gets the tag, kicks Triple H and connects with a quick DDT. Pinfall by Cody and Triple H kicks out after two. Cody then goes to work on Triple H with a front choke. Triple H counters out of that choke flipping Cody over his back with a modified high back body drop. Triple H reaches to tag in HBK, but Ted knocks HBK off the ring apron and works over Triple H in the opposite corner. Triple H catches Ted with boots and right hands from the corner. Triple H and Ted exchange right hands a few times, Ted catches Triple H with an elbow to the jaw, but Triple H sends him over the top rope when he comes charging. Cody then rolls Ted back into the ring, takes his corner, tag to Cody and hot tag to HBK. HBK levels Cody with multiple right hands, atomic drop, chest chop, another atomic drop, another chop, sends Cody into the ropes, Cody counters and HBK hits a flying elbow to the head. HBK tries to flip up, but Ted catches him knowing it was coming. Triple H tosses Ted over the ring barricade on the outside into the crowd. Cody goes up top and attempts a flying elbow, but HBK moves. HBK goes up top and Cody pushes him causing HBK to crotch himself up on the top turnbuckle.

Cody climbs up with HBK, hits a few right hands, but HBK knocks him off and sends him back to the ring below. HBK then stands up, jumps and looks to connect with the flying elbow when Cody gets his knees up to block it. Cody goes for a pinfall and HBK kicks out after two. HBK then gets Cody down and gets the figure four locked on. Cody starts screaming out in pain when Ted jumps in to break it up. Triple H goes for a Pedigree on Ted and Cody breaks that up. Cody with a big takedown on Triple H. Cody blocks Sweet Chin Music, Ted hits HBK and Cody takes out HBK with his twisting neckbreaker when Triple H breaks up the pinfall. Triple H is the legal man and hits the Pedigree on Cody. The referee is trying to get Ted to his corner when he takes out HBK. Triple H takes out Ted and clotheslines him over the announce table. HBK and Cody are down. The referee starts the count. Both get up at 9 leaning against each other and HBK hits Sweet Chin Music dropping Cody. HBK covers Cody and gets the pinfall.

Winners: D-Generation X

After the match, Triple H and Shawn Michaels celebrate their win.

– A promo for the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania special on NBC is shown.

ECW Championship
Christian (c) vs. William Regal w/ Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

The bell rings and William Regal turns his back to remove his attire when Christian quickly grabs him, turns him around and hits the Killswitch. Christian covers Regal and gets the pinfall.

Winner & STILL ECW Champion: Christian

After the match, Kozlov, Jackson and Regal all attack Christian. All three head to the back staring down Christian who is rolling around in pain in the ring.

– A video package airs highlighting SummerSlam weekend in Los Angeles.

– Footage is shown from Raw on Monday with Randy Orton and John Cena teaming up with a win over Chris Jericho and Big Show only to see Orton take out Cena with an RKO.

WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena

Lilian Garcia did ring introductions for the challenger John Cena and champion Randy Orton.

The bell rings and both lock up. Cena takes the back of Orton and takes him down. Cena with a front face lock and Orton counters that working on the left arm of Cena. Cena fights out of it and backs up staring down Orton. Orton stares down Cena and backs up as well. Orton with big right hands on Cena. Orton starts stomping over Cena in the corner. Orton starts kicking Cena in the chest a few times as well. Cena with a big tackle that takes down Orton. Cena sends Orton to the corner and then hits a running bulldog. Hook of the leg by Cena and Orton kicks out after two. Orton catches Cena with a high elbow after Cena came off the ropes. Orton again starts kicking Cena in the chest. Orton with an uppercut to Cena in the corner followed by some right hands. Orton sends Cena with force into the corner and Cena bounces off and hits the mat right away. Orton toys with Cena kicking him in the head. Orton tosses Cena into the opposite corner with force yet again. Orton is favoring his mouth and spits out some blood. Orton begins stomping over the body of Cena. Orton with a big knee into the face of Cena, cover and Cena kicks out after two. Cena with elbows to the body of Orton and fights back with a few right hands.

Orton counters any more offense grabbing Cena and dropping him off his back hitting a modified backbreaker. Real mixed reaction for both men. Orton then applies a full body headlock on Cena bringing him down to the mat. Orton is still on the back of Cena with a modified rear naked choke applied when Cena backs Orton into the corner to break it up. Cena with two shoulder blocks and then plants Orton with his spinning powerbomb. Cena with the five knuckle shuffle on Orton. Orton is up for an Attitude Adjustment when Orton jumps off and hits a quick snap powerslam on Cena that results in a close two count. Orton stands up and stomps over the wrist of Cena. Orton then continues to focus on other spots on the body of Cena to stomp and attack. Orton misses a knee drop and Cena attempts a flying shoulder block, but Orton drops down and Cena goes flying through the ropes to the outside. As Cena is getting back into the ring through the ropes, Orton kicks him in the chest, pulls Cena forward by his neck and drops Cena with a big DDT. Orton hooks the leg of Cena and Cena kicks out after two. Orton starts stalking over Cena slamming his fists down into the mat. Orton stands up, backs up to the corner, attempts his boot to the head, Cena moves and takes out Orton with a blockbuster.

Cena goes up top and connects with a leg drop to the back of the head on Orton. Cover by Cena and Orton kicks out after two. Cena attempts an Attitude Adjustment on Orton, Orton holds onto the ropes, drops down and both men hit each other with a double clothesline in the middle of the ring. Both are up at 8. Cena and Orton exchange right hands. Fans cheer when Orton lands his punches and boo when Cena lands his punches. Cena gets the better of Orton in the exchange and hits a high back body drop on Orton. Orton gets back up and hits the referee. The referee calls for the bell and its over.

Orton leaves the ring and grabs his belt. Lilian Garcia announces that Mr. McMahon has ordered this match to be restarted. She adds that the title can now change hands in a DQ finish.

Orton hits the ring and takes a big side slam from Cena. Both brawl to the outside and Orton sends Cena into the steel ring steps. Orton rolls Cena back in the ring, hooks the leg and Cena kicks out after two. Another cover and another kick out by Cena. A third cover by Orton and Cena still kicks out. Orton leaves the ring and asks for his WWE Championship. Orton starts walking away as the referee starts the count. The referee gets to 10 and calls for the bell.

Lilian Garcia then announces per the order of Mr. McMahon this match has been restarted and the title can now change hands via DQ or Count Out. Orton returns to the ring, Cena has his up for an Attitude Adjustment, Orton jumps off and rolls up Cena, but uses the ropes to get the pinfall.

Another referee hits the ring and makes it clear Orton used the ropes to get the win. The bell rings again and Cena goes on the attack taking down Orton. Cena locks in the STF on Orton. Orton gets close to the ropes. Cena breaks the hold, pulls Orton back and locks in the STF once more. A fan then hits the ring and holds on to the referee. WWE security hits the ring and take the fan away. Orton rolls out and Cena is confused. Orton is still on the outside and starts to get up on the ring apron when Orton drops him with an RKO in the ropes. Orton then gets in the ring and hits an RKO on Cena. Orton covers Cena and gets the pinfall.

Winner & STILL WWE Champion: Randy Orton

After the match, we see a replay of the three different finishes leading to the final decision.

– A video package runs highlighting the events between Jeff Hardy and CM Punk leading into tonight’s TLC match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – TLC Match

Justin Roberts did ring introductions for the challenger CM Punk and champion Jeff Hardy.

The bell rings and both lock up. Punk pushes Jeff into the corner and gets in a few right hands and knees. Punk continues working over Jeff down in the corner. Punk tosses Jeff to the outside and grabs a steel chair. Punk drives it into the gut of Jeff and then cracks it over his back. Punk grabs a ladder, tosses it inside and starts climbing up. Jeff quickly gets in the ring and knocks it over with Punk falling to the mat. Punk dodges a Twist of Fate attempt, but Jeff throws him into the corner and hits his dropkick to the chest. Jeff picks up the ladder that was pushed over earlier, sets it up, starts climbing, Punk kicks it and Jeff comes falling off and into the corner. Punk attempts a GTS on Jeff, but Jeff jumps off his shoulders and pushes Punk into the ladder knocking it over. Jeff grabs a steel chair, sets it up near Punk, backs up, jumps off it, Punk catches Jeff in the corner and Punk literally throws Jeff down back first over the top of the steel chair. That looked nasty. Punk grabs the ladder and throws it over Jeff. Punk grabs the ladder and continues to throw it over the body of Jeff a few more times. Punk catches Jeff with a huge spinning heel kick. Punk tosses Jeff out of the ring, hits the ropesand takes out Jeff with a suicide dive.

Punk grabs a table and positions it closer to the ring. Punk grabs a steel chair and tries to lock Jeff’s head inside. Jeff breaks free, Punk tries to hit Jeff with the chair and Jeff moves. Punk then hits the steel ring post with force. Jeff irish whips Punk into the steel ring steps. Punk counters jumping up on top of the steps, turns, jumps and Jeff nails him with a steel chair. Jeff throws Punk face first off the ring barricade, sets up the chair near Punk, backs up, jumps off and connects with a body splash into Punk up against the ring barricade. Jeff grabs another chair and throws it against the back of Punk. Jeff puts Punk on top of a table near the ring, goes up to the top turnbuckle, jumps, Punk moves and Punk crashes through the table near the edge of the entrance ramp. Punk grabs a new ladder and tosses it inside the ring. Punk sets the ladder up under the World Heavyweight Championship that is hanging above the ring. Jeff is back up, gets in the ring, pulls Punk off the ladder and then starts climbing up over Punk. Jeff touches the title a few times as he moves around on the hook. Punk has Jeff on his shoulders. Jeff counters off hitting a sunset flip powerbomb off the ladder to the ring below!

Jeff is now climbing back up the ladder slowly. Jeff gets his hands on the title when Punk pushes the ladder over and Jeff crashes in the corner and ropes. Punk grabs Jeff, puts him up on the top turnbuckle, Punk goes up with and gives Jeff a superplex off the turnbuckle onto a ladder below! Punk also hit part of the ladder as he hit the superplex on Jeff as well. Punk is back up, attempts another suplex on Jeff, but Jeff counters and hits Punk with a Twist of Fate. Jeff goes up top, attempts a Swanton Bomb, but Punk gets his knees up as Jeff is coming down. Punk with a high knee in the corner on Jeff, attempts a bulldog, but Jeff lifts Punk up, turns, throws Punk over the top rope and Punk goes crashing through the table on the outside! Jeff grabs the ladder and sets it up under the title. Punk is back up, springboards off the top rope and takes out Jeff with a double axe handle. Punk tosses Jeff out under the bottom rope. Punk leaves the ring, grabs a steel chair, locks it up in Jeff’s head, tries to throw Jeff into the steel ring post, but Jeff blocks and throws Punk into the steel ring steps. Jeff grabs the chair and starts hitting Punk repeatedly with it. Hardy grabs another chair and throws it right at Punk.

Jeff moves a table near the ring apron and then grabs part of the announce table throwing the top portion at Punk. Jeff starts clearing the ECW announce table and then grabs a steel chair hitting Punk with it. Jeff sends Punk into the side of the announce table and then tosses him on top. Jeff grabs a steel chair and cracks it in the face of Punk. Hardy grabs a real tall ladder and sets it up near Punk who is on top of the ECW announce table. Jeff starts climbing up and gets to the top. Jeff poses and hits a HUGE Swanton Bomb off the top of the ladder and crashes over the body of Punk breaking the announce table in half. WWE officials and referees immediately attend to Hardy on the ground. A few replays are shown of the spot and it looks insane. EMTs are trying to put Jeff on a stretcher and put a collar around his neck. Meanwhile, Punk is sliding back into the ring and looking at the ladder. Hardy fights his way off the stretcher and removes the collar brace put around his neck. Jeff is stumbling around and eventually falls back into the ring. Punk can’t believe it and starts climbing up the ladder on one leg (favoring his other). Jeff is climbing up on the other side. Jeff and Punk exchange right hands up top while reaching for the title. Punk kicks and right hands Jeff who falls off the ladder. Punk reaches up and grabs the title to get the win.

Winner & NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk

After the match, CM Punk clutches the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and stands over Jeff Hardy. The lights begin to slightly flicker, Punk looks up and then they go back to normal. Punk then continues to celebrate when the gong hits and the lights go out. After a few seconds, the lights come back on and Punk is still standing with the World Heavyweight Championship in the air. The only thing different is he is now standing over The Undertaker. Punk looks down, Undertaker sits up, chokes him and then hits a big chokeslam on Punk. Undertaker then gets down on one knee and poses as the blue lights fill the arena. Undertaker then heads up the ramp, clears away tables, ladders and chairs in his way, looks back and poses as fire shoots out of the stage as the PPV goes off the air.
