Sunday, February 20th in Pittsburgh, PA

– The WWE promo hits. Following this, a promo runs hyping the first ever Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match tonight with JBL defending the WWE Championship against the Big Show.
– A large series of pyro goes off inside the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA as we go live on pay per view. Michael Cole & Tazz welcome us, reminding that this is the final pay per view stop before WrestleMania 21. They also remind that RAW’s Batista will be at the show tonight. The Spanish Announce Team then take over and welcome our spanish speaking friends to the show as well.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The Basham Brothers (c’s) vs. Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio

The match starts with Danny Basham and Eddie Guerrero. Both lock up, Guerrero goes low until he applies a headlock. Guerrero trips up Danny and works on his left ankle. Danny gets out of it and works on Guerrero’s shoulder. Guerrero rolls out of it and tags in Mysterio who drops on Danny’s arm. Mysterio gives Danny a quick leg drop, covers, but only gets a two count. Danny charges Mysterio in the corner and then tags in Doug. Danny chokes out Mysterio as the referee holds Guerrero back from getting in the ring. Doug gives Mysterio a quick elbow, Mysterio bounces off the ropes and gives Doug a quick arm drag. Guerrero gets the tag and Guerrero takes down Doug quickly with an elbow. Guerrero gives Doug a quick huricanranna that sends Doug to the outside. Doug quickly gets back in, nails Guerrero’s head off the corner and tags in Danny. Both get in a few punches and kicks until Doug goes to the ring apron. Danny applies a cross-choke hold, bringing Guerrero down as the referee looks on. Guerrero fights out of it with a side back suplex. Doug gets the tag, Guerrero crawls over to tag in Mysterio, but Doug pulls him back out to the middle of the ring. Doug gets in a few kicks, covers, but only gets a two count.

Doug gives Guerrero a quick powerslam, but Mysterio breaks it up. Mysterio gets the tag and takes out Doug with a quick leg drop followed by a cross-body off the ropes for a two count. Mysterio gives Doug a big front face plant, covers, but Danny breaks it up. Danny puts Doug outside of the ring and switches it up without the referee noticing. Doug and Danny exchange tags, double teaming Mysterio. The legal man Danny goes after Mysterio with a full nelson. Danny brings Mysterio down to the ground as the referee looks on. Mysterio tries to battle out of it with a few elbows to Danny’s face. Mysterio crawls away and Danny gives him a boot to the back of the head. Danny then charges Mysterio in the corner and then irish whips him with force to the other corner. Danny gets in a cheap shot on Guerrero. Guerrero comes in the ring, the referee pushes him back and allows both Basham’s to double team Mysterio with some boots to the gut. Both Basham’s drop Mysterio on the top rope, Danny covers, but only gets a two count. Danny chokes Mysterio and the referee quickly breaks it up. Mysterio tries to make it to Guerrero in the corner, but Danny holds him back. Doug gets the tag and he starts to work on Mysterio.

Mysterio hits a big moonsault off the top rope on Doug, rolls him up, but only gets a two count. Doug quickly drags Mysterio to the corner and tags in Danny. Danny applies a headlock as Mysterio reaches out for Guerrero. The referee then notices that Guerrero tied both tag ropes together so he could get more length on them and gets in his face about it. Doug then gets the tag and both Basham’s double team Mysterio giving him a big facebuster. Guerrero breaks up a pinfall attempt. Mysterio battles back with some kicks to the gut on Danny. Mysterio leaps and rolls around the ring to avoid both Basham’s as Guerrero gets the tag. Guerrero takes out both Basham’s with a dropkick and back body drop on each. Guerrero gives Doug a springboard head scissors, taking Danny for the ride as well. Both Basham’s grab Guerrero and slam him hard on the mat. Danny covers, but only gets a two count. Both Basham’s go for a double vertical suplex, but Mysterio trips up one of the Basham’s and Guerrero gets a roll up for a two count. Guerrero then grabs one of the WWE Tag Team Titles. Mysterio stops him from using it. Guerrero goes up to the top, jumps, stops a frog splash attempt as Doug rolls out of the way. Guerrero then falls down selling the move, Doug walks over, Guerrero rolls him up and gets a close two count. Danny then tosses the tag belt to Guerrero, Guerrero tosses it to Doug, Doug throws it out, Mysterio throws Guerrero another tag belt and Guerrero knocks out Doug. Mysterio takes out Danny as Guerrero covers Doug – 1…2…3!

Winners & NEW WWE Tag Team Champions: Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio

– Backstage, Teddy Long is excited about Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio winning the WWE Tag Team Titles. He tells a stage hand to make Batista feel comfortable when he arrives and tells him to come to his office. Carlito Caribbean Cool walks up with a wife of one of the WWE Board of Directors. She thanks Teddy for a good show just far and leaves. Carlito brings up to him that the board of directors are watching tonight to see if Long can sign Batista to SmackDown.

Rookie Diva Competition #1
Torrie Wilson & Dawn Marie come down to the ring and join Michael Cole & Tazz at ringside. Joy, Rochelle, Lauren & Michelle all come out in gowns. They remind that voting is now open on WWE.com.

– Heidenreich’s music hits and he comes out to the ring. He gets on the mic and reads a poem.

Booker T vs. Heidenreich
The match starts with both locking up. Booker backs Heidenreich into the corner and then pushes away. Heidenreich gets in a few punches followed by taking Batista down with a clothesline. Heidenreich quickly goes for a pinfall, but only gets a two count. Booker fights back with a side kick followed by some chops in the corner. Heidenreich fights back with an elbow to the jaw as Booker came off the ropes at him. Booker goes to the outside, Heidenreich follows, Booker grabs Heidenreich and nails his head off the steel steps. Booker throws Heidenreich back in the ring and gives him a big superkick. Booker covers, but only gets a two count. Heidenreich gives Booker a big scoop slam and then taunts at him to get up. When Booker gets up, Heidenreich gives him a big clothesline. Heidenreich launches Booker into the corner and then gives him a big right hand knocking him down. Heidenreich works on Booker’s left arm and starts to bite it. Booker fights back with a few slaps to the ribs and slap across the chest. Heidenreich stops the comeback with a big boot taking Booker off his feet.

Heidenreich continues to work on the left arm of Booker T. Booker once again tries to fight back, but Heidenreich stops it with a big knee to the gut. Booker then responds with a quick spinebuster on Heidenreich. Booker then takes Heidenreich off his feet with a few clotheslines followed by a big side kick. Booker then signals for the spinarooni and executes it. Booker kicks Heidenreich in the gut, misses the scissors kick, goes for the Book End, Heidenreich battles out and Booker gives him a few punches. Booker sends Heidenreich over the top rope to the outside of the ring. Booker follows Heidenreich to the outside. Heidenreich grabs a steel chair and nails Booker in the throat with it. The referee then calls for the bell.

Winner by DQ: Booker T

After the match, Heidenreich throws Booker back in the ring and covers him. The referee explains that the match is over due to him using a steel chair. Heidenreich then leaves the ring frustrated as he heads to the back.

– Backstage, a shot is shown of GM Teddy Long’s office.
– Backstage, Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio are celebrating their WWE Tag Team Title win with Hardcore Holly, Charlie Haas and Scotty 2 Hotty when John Cena walks up. Holly says Cena needs to get the job done tonight. Guerrero then asks to be alone with Cena. Guerrero says he knows what it means to get the WWE Title and go to WrestleMania. He says tonight is very serious and doesn’t think he understands it. Guerrero tells Cena that he talked to Angle and Angle said he was going to make him hurt tonight. He said he doesn’t believe Cena will tap tonight and tells him to remember that tonight. Guerrero tells Cena not to tap because if he doesn’t, Angle gets frustrated and starts to make mistakes. He said he believes in Cena tonight, slaps his hand and leaves.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship – 6 Man Elimination Match
Before the match started, we are told that a drawing was held earlier tonight to determine the entry of the following supestars. Those involved include: Paul London, Chavo Guerrero, Shannon Moore, Spike Dudley, Akio & WWE Cruiserweight Champion Funaki.

It starts with Funaki and Paul London. London takes down Funaki with a shoulder block, Funaki trips him up and London follows that up with an underhook arm drag. London gives Funaki a big mule kick, but Funaki fights back with a bulldog for a two count. Spike gets in a cheap shot allowing London to roll up Funaki for the 1, 2, 3.

* Funaki has been eliminated.

Spike then comes in and works on London in the corner. Funaki takes out Spike before he leaves the ring, allowing London to cover Spike for the 1, 2, 3.

* Spike Dudley has been eliminated.

Shannon Moore comes off the top taking out London, covers, but only gets a two count. Moore rolls up London a few more times but still gets two counts on each. London gets in a few chops on Moore in the corner. London rolls up Moore, but Moore kicks out. Moore launches London into the corner three times, gets up on the top rope, jumps and misses a corkscrew moonsault. London then goes up to the top, jumps and connects with the 450 Splash. London covers and gets the pinfall.

* Shannon Moore has been eliminated.

Akio quickly comes in the ring and takes out London. Akio grabs London and applies a submission against the ropes choking London. Akio comes back in the ring, covers London but only gets a two count. Akio applies a headlock, choking him out. Akio lands a kick to the back of the head on London, covers, but only gets a two count. Akio gets in a few kicks on London and chops him in the corner. Akio sets up London on the top rope, London fights back, London comes off the top and gives Akio a huge neckbreaker. Both men are down and the referee starts the count. London gets on his feet at 10, but Akio doesn’t.

* Akio has been eliminated.

Chavo Guerrero then comes in the ring and takes out London, throwing him on the mat with force. Guerrero covers, but only gets a two count. Both exchange various pinfall attempts until London gets in a quick dropkick on Guerrero. Guerrero goes for a suplex, London counters into a roll up, Guerrero counters that into a roll up of his own and holds onto the ropes to get the pinfall.

Winner & NEW WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Chavo Guerrero

After the match, Guerrero leaves the ring and celebrates with the Cruiserweight Title.

– Footage is then shown of Batista attacking JBL’s limo with a baseball bat this past Thursday night on SmackDown. Following this, Big Show comes to the ring and starts to take out JBL when The Basham Brothers & Orlando Jordan run down to take him out. RAW’s Batista then runs out and clears the ring. Big Show and Batista stare each other down. Both then turn and stare down JBL as he leaves the ring.
– Backstage, Big Show is shown getting ready for his match later tonight against JBL for the WWE Championship in a first ever Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. They flash a graphic displaying the rules for tonight: 3 ways to win the match – pinfall, submission or escaping the barbed wire steel cage.
– WrestleMania Recall: The Gimmick Battle Royal from 2001.

Rookie Diva Competition #2
Torrie Wilson & Dawn Marie are on the mic with the divas in the competition Joy, Rochelle, Lauren & Michelle. They say this round will display all the diva’s special talents. Joy is first and her talent is giving a massage. She then chooses to give Torrie a massage. Rochelle is second and she tells a bad joke. Lauren is third and she dances. Michelle is last and she gives Dawn Marie a powerslam as her talent. They remind that voting is still open on WWE.com.

– Backstage, Josh Mathews is with WWE Champion JBL. He brings up all the odds stacked against him tonight with the cage locked shut and the only way out is by pinfall, submission or by going out the top surrounded with barbed wire. JBL said he is willing to get hurt tonight to keep his WWE Championship. He said the real question is if Big Show is willing to do the same. JBL said people will remember this day and will remember him as a wrestling god.

The Undertaker vs. Luther Reigns
Before the match started and Undertaker came out, the referee sent Mark Jindrak to the back. The match starts with The Undertaker getting in some punches on Luther Reigns followed by nailing his head off the corner. Reigns fights back with a forearm to the back followed by some kicks to the gut. Taker stops any more offense by Reigns with a big boot. Taker works on Reigns’ left arm with a few shoulder charges, backs up, scales the top rope and then drops down on Reigns’ shoulder. Taker grabs Reigns and drops him down face first, covers, but only gets a two count. Taker starts to choke Reigns on the ground, the referee gets in his face and Taker chases the referee out of the ring. While this is taking place, Reigns takes the padding off the turnbuckle exposing steel. Reigns tries to nail Taker’s head off the exposed corner, but Taker blocks it. Taker puts Reigns in the other corner and gets in a few right hands. Taker irish whips Reigns into another corner, Reigns comes off and takes out Taker with a big clothesline. Reigns goes after Taker again with a few rights and lefts until Taker grabs him and irish whips him into the exposed turnbuckle.

Taker then pulls Reigns out near the ring apron. Taker drops an elbow across his chest followed by getting up on the ring apron and executing a big leg drop. Taker gets back in the ring and Reigns begs him to stop. Taker starts to choke Reigns. The referee gets in his face and Taker tries to push him back when Reigns gets in a low blow with his boot. Reigns grabs Taker and pushes him into the exposed turnbuckle. Reigns kicks Taker to the outside of the ring, driving Taker into the side of the ring. Reigns irish whips Taker into the steel steps and gets back in the ring. Taker soon follows, but Reigns gets in a few kicks as he comes back in. Reigns launches Taker into the corner two times, kicks him in the gut and hits a quick suplex. Reigns covers, but Taker kicks out after two. Reigns gives Taker a scoop slam, drops an elbow, covers and gets a two count once again. Reigns then turns Taker over and applies a single leg boston grab, putting one of his boots on his head. Reigns turns Taker over allowing for a pinfall attempt, but Taker gets his shoulder up. Taker starts to fight back with a few right hands and pushes Reigns away.

Taker fights back taking Reigns off his feet with a big clothesline. Taker gets in a big boot on Reigns, goes off the ropes, but Reigns takes him off his feet with a big spear. Reigns covers – 1…2…Taker kicks out. Reigns picks up Taker looking to hit his reverse neckbreaker finish. Taker fights out of it with a few right hands. Taker takes Reigns out with a flying clothesline followed by a clothesline in the corner. Taker drops Reigns on the top rope and follows it up with a big boot and leg drop. Taker covers, but only gets a two count. Taker goes for a chokeslam and connects. Taker lifts Reigns onto his shoulder, Reigns slides off and gives Taker a reverse neckbreaker. Reigns covers – 1…2…kick out. Reigns then gives Taker some hard rights and lefts on the ground. Reigns looks to go for the reverse neckbreaker again, but Taker counters into a DDT. Taker sits up, signals for the end, puts Reigns on his shoulder and then drops him into the Tombstone Piledriver for the pinfall.

Winner: The Undertaker

After the match, the ring fills with blue and Undertaker gets down on one knee doing his usual pose. He heads up the entrance way, takes one look back at the ring, lifts his arm in the air and leaves as the crowd cheers.

Rookie Diva Competition #3 – Final Round
Torrie Wilson comes back to the ring and introduces Joy, Rochelle, Lauren & Michelle. Michael Cole said Dawn Marie refused to officiate the final competition after what happened in the second when Michelle gave her a powerslam. Torrie gets on the mic and says all four will show the crowd the swimsuits they are wearing. The order was as follows: Joy, Rochelle (who almost tripped), Lauren & Michelle. Torrie polls the crowd in Pittsburgh for the winner. They display the WWE.com results and Joy is the winner.

#1 Contender’s Tournament Final – Winner goes to WrestleMania
Kurt Angle vs. John Cena

The match starts with both locking up and Angle pushing Cena into the ropes as the referee breaks it up. Both lock up again and Angle takes Cena off his feet quickly applying a headlock. Cena starts to get up fighting back, but Angle takes him out with a shoulder block and applies a headlock again. Angle takes out Cena again with another shoulder block and a quick belly-to-belly suplex into another headlock. They brawl into the corner and Cena backs up. Cena gets in a quick kick to the gut, but Angle gives him a drop toe hold. Cena fights back giving Angle some shoulder charges against the ropes. Cena then clotheslines Angle over the top rope, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd in Pittsburgh. Cena then charges at Angle over the announcers table, giving him some hard rights on the ground. The referee orders them to get in back in the ring and Cena rolls Angle back inside. Back in the ring, Cena gives Angle a quick suplex, covers, but only gets a two count. Cena gives Angle some kicks in the corner followed by a clothesline. Cena goes for the FU, but Angle quickly slides down and gets out of the ring.

Angle gets back in, charges, but Cena ducks and backs Angle in the corner with some hard rights. Angle blocks a big boot attempt, flips Cena around and gives him a german suplex into the corner with impact. Cena grabs his head after it snapped off the turnbuckle. Angle goes after Cena with some kicks and punches on the ground. Angle gives Cena a quick suplex, covers, but only gets a two count. Angle gives Cena some more hard rights in the corner followed by a snapmare and body scissors lock. Angle drives his forearm into Cena’s head as he keeps the body scissors applied. Cena fights out of it and gives Angle a quick elbow as he came off the ropes. Angle quickly responds with three big german suplexes, covers, but Cena puts his leg on the bottom rope to break the pinfall. Cena gets Angle a big jumping shoulder off the ropes. Both are down as the referee starts the count. Both get up and Cena is the first to get in a series of punches. Cena takes out Angle with two clotheslines followed by a high elbow. Angle rakes the eyes of Cena, but Cena fights back with a big spinebuster. Cena covers, but only gets a two count.

Angle gets in a german suplex, but Cena fights off a second attempt. Cena goes for the FU, Angle counters rolling up Cena, but only gets a two count. Angle gives Cena a big belly-to-belly suplex to stop the momentum. Angle grabs Cena to hit the Angle Slam, but Cena counters and hits a DDT. Cena covers – 1…2…Angle gets a shoulder up. Cena goes for the FU again, Angle counters out of it rolling forward and then applies the Ankle Lock. Cena somehow rolls out of it himself, sending Angle through the ropes to the outside. Cena goes up to the top as Angle is sticking his head through the second rope on the ring apron. Cena jumps and connects with a big leg drop on Angle. Cena covers – 1…2…Angle kicks out. Cena then hits the FU on Angle, covers, but Angle kicks out! Cena goes to grab Angle again when Angle kicks him in the kneecap. Angle then drops the elbow on Cena’s ankle a few times. Angle hits a chop block on Cena’s ankle and then slams it against the steel post. Angle slams Cena’s ankle against the steel post a few more times. Angle stomps on the ankle a few more times. Angle then connects with the Angle Slam on Cena. Angle applies the Ankle Lock as Cena starts to crawl towards the ropes. Cena gets the bottom rope for a second, but Angle pulls him back out to the middle. Cena reaches again, but Angle falls down to apply the move with more pressure. Cena somehow gets the bottom rope and Angle breaks the hold. Angle applies it again, the referee gets to four and Angle knocks him out. Angle gets Cena’s chain, but Cena drives him into the corner. Cena grabs Angle, hits the FU, covers – 1…2…3.

Winner & Advancing to WrestleMania: John Cena

– Backstage, an empty room is still shown. Michael Cole & Tazz wonder if RAW’s Batista is even going to show up tonight. Back live, the Barbed Wire Steel Cage starts to lower.

WWE Championship – Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match
John Bradshaw Layfield (c) vs. Big Show

Before the match starts, WWE referee’s lock the door for the cage. Michael Cole & Tazz remind you can only win by pinfall, submission or by climbing out the top that is surrounded by barbed wire. The bell rings and JBL goes after Big Show with some quick punches. Big Show sends him into the corner and then attempts to throw him into the cage, but JBL blocks it. Show throws JBL into the corner again and gets in a big slap. Big Show slaps JBL across the back followed by a headbutt. JBL takes out Big Show with a shoulder block. JBL follows this up with a neckbreaker. JBL then starts to climb up the cage and looks for an opening in the barbed wire at the top. Big Show gets on his feet, JBL jumps at him, Big Show catches him and then connects with a fallaway slam. Big Show covers, but only gets a two count. Big Show gives JBL another chop in the corner. He does it again, but JBL fights back with a thumb to the eyes. JBL goes for a shoulder block, but Big Show doesn’t move and JBL goes down. Big Show gives JBL a quick suplex followed by a headbutt. JBL then grabs Big Show and throws him into the side of the cage. JBL climbs up the turnbuckle and looks for another opening at the top. Big Show is now busted open, JBL jumps off the top and connects with a shoulder block. JBL gets in a few kicks to Big Show’s head and follows them up with a few chops. JBL covers, but only gets a two count.

JBL then gets a tag rope from the turnbuckle and starts to choke Big Show with it. Michael Cole reminds that there are No DQ rules in place so anything is legal. JBL gives Big Show a forearm to the back followed by a few boots. Big Show comes back, giving JBL a big boot to the head. Big Show gets JBL set for a powerbomb, lifts him up, backs him up face first into the cage and then drops him down hard on his back. Blood is flowing down Big Show’s face as he picks up JBL and gives him hard right. Big Show drives JBL face first into the cage. JBL is now busted open at this point. Big Show gives JBL a headbutt and then catapults him into the cage. Orlando Jordan and The Basham Brothers run out. Jordan starts to climb up the cage and The Bashams are using bolt cutters on the cage as Teddy Long comes out. He kicks Orlando Jordan & The Bashams to the back. JBL gets the bolt cutters and knocks out Big Show with it. JBL covers – 1…2…Big Show kicks out. JBL looks to go for the Clothesline from Hell when Big Show grabs him and hits a chokeslam. Big Show covers – 1…2…kick out. Blood is now pouring from JBL’s head. Big Show grabs JBL, but JBL gives him a low blow followed by a big boot.

JBL gets the bolt cutters and starts to climb up near the top of the cage. JBL starts to cut his way through the barbed wire, but Big Show attacks him from behind. JBL drops the bolt cutters as Big Show nails his head off the top of the steel cage where the barbed wire is. JBL stays up and gives Big Show a thumb to the eye. Big Show gives JBL a few hard lefts. JBL starts to walk across the top rope as Big Show follows. They walk back near the corner as Big Show grabs JBL and chokeslams him to the mat. JBL falls and the mat breaks upon impact. Big Show stays up on the top rope and walks across looking for a way out. Big Show then gets down and starts to kick the cage door that is chained up. Big Show breaks the chain and unlocks the door. Big Show walks out and raises his arms in victory. However, while this was going on JBL crawled out from under the ring and reached the floor first to retain.

Winner & STILL WWE Champion: John Bradshaw Layfield

After the match, Big Show can’t believe JBL crawled out. Big Show grabs JBL and knocks him out. Big Show picks up a bloody JBL and rolls him back in the ring. Orlando Jordan & The Bashams hit the ring to take out Big Show. Batista’s music hits and he runs out with ring gear on. He knocks out Doug Basham at ringside. He gives Danny Basham and Orlando Jordan each spinebusters. Batista gives one of the Bashams a Batista Bomb as JBL crawls away in the entrance area. John Cena then shows up and starts to attack JBL. Cena pushes JBL into a bunch of TV’s stacked near the entrance area. Cena gets up on a table and slams JBL through a part of the set. Cena and Batista stare each other down as the PPV goes off the air…
