Biography

– In the 1990’s, West gained fame as a pitchman for the Home Shopping Network
– In 2000, West was approached by Vince Russo, who offered him a WCW job. West turned down the job, as he felt that the future of WCW was not secure
– In 2001, West left HSN to become a radio presenter in Nashville, Tennessee
– On June 19, 2002, West debuted as TNA’s color commentator alongside Ed Ferrara and Mike Tenay in a 3-man booth
– In August 2002, Ferrara left TNA, leaving West and Tenay at the announce table
– On December 14, 2006, West saw his first in-ring action, being attacked by Kurt Angle
– On February 26, 2009, West turned heel and walked out on Tenay. He repeated this act over the next 2-3 weeks
– On August 17, 2009, West was replaced at the TNA announce table by Tazz. West became a sales and merchandising executive for the company
– On October 15, 2009, West returned to television, serving as the manager of The Amazing Red
– On May 28, 2012, West left TNA and the wrestling business
– In January 2017, West returned to the now-renamed Impact Wrestling, working in their merchandise department. He would return to the announce desk for one night only at that year’s Slammiversary event
– West was diagnosed with a brain lymphoma in June 2021
